EA is having a crazy 99¢ sale on the US iTunes Store. I picked up NFS: Hot Pursuit, EA Sports MMA, and am wondering what else to pick up for the price of a McShake...

Red Dead Redemption  Undead Nightmare is reduced from 800 to 600 points for today, so $7.50

how is it if I just care about single player?

Will do.  Might be awhile until I get to it; I still have a lot on my plate, including New Vegas.

Enjoyable 5 or so hours of zombie killing.  More if you're into the challenges.

Gamefly's end of the year Christmas sale starts today. Hopefully they'll discount quite a few games. The free shipping doesn't hurt either.

yeah, i got a dozen hours out of it, but i did a lot of fucking around in the game world

also, the co-op undead horde mode is a helluva lot of fun, someone always breaks weak and leaves everyone else to die towards the end :lol

Didn't see anything I was interested in over at Gamefly's sale.

I went ahead and picked up Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Darkest of Days, and Alan Wake.

I'd been waiting on Darkest of Days. It's so terrible but it's worth $9.99 just to mow down Civil War soldiers with a futuristic minigun.

That really sucks. I had been looking at last year's deals to get an idea for prices and there's a bunch of games they've got listed for $14.99 this year that were $9.99 last year. Gamefly's sale is pretty much a bust. :(

Meh, all of the decent deals on Gamefly are for PS3 games, most of which I already own. Not sure what I was expecting though, there's not really any games I want to buy in the first place. A deal on the new NFS game would have been nice I suppose.

The upcoming XBLA deals look good though. Gonna buy Hydro Thunder, Limbo, and maybe Sonic 4. And maybe the ME2 dlc.

Interesting. Shame you need a kindle to read it.

Is there anyway to read kindle book files on a PC like a .pdf?  Any Kindle emulators?

Ok, cool.  Picked it up for a buck.

The reader is kind of too barebones?  The only thing I want out of a reader is to show the text and have page numbers so I can see where I am in the book.  I don't see anyway to get page numbers with this >_<

Hey, can any of the j-gaffers pick me up a 10000yen PSN point card and I'll pay them back through paypal?  I need to get some points and Play-Asia wants $150 for one even though the current exchange rate is more like ~$120.  That's a pretty ridiculous overhead and I'd rather avoid it.

Man, Nail'd for $10 seems is an awesome deal if you're into racing games like that.

http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-naild/17-3541/

Even for $10 I can't see it being worth it.  This video is probably more entertaining the whole game.

From that video I got that you can't see the track when you're in the air so you land out of bounds all the time.  Well that and if you boost more than you're supposed to before a jump you'll fly too high and run head first into a sign or something.

I dunno, the track design seems very very poor and high speed unrealistic racing is one of my favorite genre.

I only have a 512 card and I maybe get 25-30fps at 1080p and I can't use the high quality textures because they're limited to 1gb 3d cards or higher  :\

Plus no anti-aliasing KILLS the visuals imo.  The way the city is rendered makes everything so jaggy and you can't clear it up with AA.

10 years from now I will play GTAIV PC when I have a 32gb 3d card that lets me supersample the game to get rid of the jaggies and run it at 60fps.

I bought Sam & Max seaosn 3 on steam, played the first episode, loved it so much I went and bought the full Telltale pack from Telltale.com that includes Bone, S&M Seaosns 1, 2, 3, Poker, Puzzle, Wallace and Grommit, Strongbad.

Thing is, I already own Poker Night, Puzzle Agent (this was my third copy_) and now Sam & Max, is there a way to give away those seriels?

I got in the two games I ordered from the Gamefly sale today, The Saboteur (couldn't live with the issues on PC) and Jurassic: The Hunted for 360.  Boy, you really roll the dice when you order used games from Gamefly.  Normally games I've bought in the past have all arrived in decent shape, but both these looked like they'd been chewed on by a puppy.  I'm talking chips out of the edges and shit.  Amazingly they both still played okay.  That's one thing I'll give to PS3 games - whatever coating they use on Blu Ray really does work, every PS3 game I've gotten from Gamefly has been in great shape compared to the regular DVDs used for 360 and Wii games.

Jurassic: The Hunted is everything you could ever want in a cheesy game about shooting velociraptors in the face, btw. Definitely worth the $6.50 I paid for it.
