well, you don't have to asskiss or sugarcoat, but if you are aware that your target audience is composed of people who fall all to pieces at the slightest bit of bad news and express their discontent with overblown threats and vaudevillian dramatics nearly 100% of their waking lives, you could probably hold off on statements like that
