Does the story pick on when Disney girl and Danny Glover start walking towards Nautilus?

I'm liking the game, and the combat system is awesome but i'm kinda feeling an inch of repetition right now. Kinda need something to happen, a city to be blown up, whatever, something.

it picks up yeah but then the "field" opens up.

from there it's shit till you reach the end of chapter 11 and entirety of chapter 12, massive shit explodes there.

That was definitely the part that drags the most in the game, I think. That's, what, like chapter 6 right?

Chapters 1-10 are one of the worst rpg experiences of my life. Chapter 11 is basically a game on its own and it saves the game from being a total disaster. Chapters 12 and 13 get boring again.

on plz, vanille is just as good medic, the difference is that her other stats blows hope out of the water. Hope is easily the worst playable character in this game as he has 3000 less HP than the second worst character, lol.

Hope makes a good Medic & Synergist, Vanille is Medic & Saboteur, which is easily as filled by Lightning & Fang

All she has going for her is Death, which is only applicable when doing certain things

Light is an average saboteur, Fang is much better at that. I'd say Vanille, Fang and Lightning is the best party. And the death spell is quite awesome because even if it doesnt work it can deal heavy damage (with nirvana wand). Last resort for Hope is a waste.

Anyway this is a good game as soon as you come to chapter 11. The game sucks before that.

unfortunately, component cables don't add anti-aliasing. Can't wait to own a PC that runs PCSX2 with no problems. XII's graphics are insane...like half the detail is lost when you play it on the PS2.

Halfway through chapter 6 and this game officially sucks. Does it pick up any before I get to Pulse, or am I out of luck if I'm not enjoying it by now? I think I would have already dropped it if the music and graphics weren't so purdy. Oh, and the battle star ratings; I live for those 5 stars at the end of each fight, even if I still don't know what they're for and it's easy to figure out the quickest method due to fighting the same 2 enemies grouped 50 different ways for hours on end with no variance in strategy.

I do loooove the soundtrack for the most part*, although I wish it were more in the foreground. I dunno why they didn't include the option of adjustable volume levels to prevent the awesome music from being drowned out by the uguuing from the idiots in my party.

optimo, chapters 6-8 are some of the better chapters in the game. Stick with it, I guess? If you're planning on beating it, you might as well, but if don't just shelve if you don't like it by chapter 9.

Yeah, I beat this while back as well. Good game. Final boss got me twice though, lucked out on the third try. Real pretty ending. My Hands. Good time all around.

The soundtrack is definitely the best part about the game (apart from the stunning graphics) - hearing D&B in an FF game never gets old.

Still grinding for the Treasure Hunter 'cheevo. Yay fighting oretoise to try and get Platinum Ingots. Looks like that's how I'm gonna be spending my weekend

seriously, the textures takes some real dips sometimes which makes you wondering if you're playing a PS2 game.

The graphics aren't constant at all. Some places look nice, the fmv is brilliant and the character detail is great. But some of the environments look like total ass. I've never been disappointed in the graphics of a main FF game before. But this one managed to disappoint me a lot of times when it comes to graphics...
