Put up for the night. Really impressed with the English localization. They turned what was arguably a alright script into something actually pretty decent and have a bit more character. Voice acting is solid and makes characters (slightly) less annoying.

Almost at the point where I stopped playing the jp version.

Fuck, if any motherfucker tries to pull the "Every game is linear in its own way " argument I'ma post that image of the FFXIII walkthrough.

They should have integrated Six Axis support and turned the pathways into some rudimentary marble madness gameplay where you gotta' navigate the straight lines without falling off the edges and shit. You'll have to Paradigm shift when turning left or right

Yeah, which is for the better, as he should be able to work on other games for a change.  Up until FFXIII, Hamauzu was generally limited to B or C class games.  He would produce these outstanding soundtracks for shitty games.  I'm surprised he put up with it that long, to be honest. 

He's definitely one of the best composers in the industry, though.  I've always loved his work.

Just wanted to say there were at least 100 people at the midnight launch. Pretty shocking, and made me really happy that people still had an interest in my favorite game genre. Jrpgs aren't dead yet! I could very well be wrong about the demand for Final Fantasy from modern game fans, I honestly thought FF wouldn't have much demand now that we're 4 years into the generation and other rpgs have come and gone in that time period.
