Post some of the Nier ones. I'm more or less indifferent about watching Drakengard material even with the connection to Nier as I really don't think it makes any difference in the grand scheme of things. Like the story of Nier could have been exactly the same even if Drakengard never had happened.

Ah interesting. I haven't gotten a chance to play Automata yet (no PS4, ancient laptop). But I imagine that even if one didn't play any Drakengard game they wouldn't necessarily be missing out on Automata details. Like more along the lines of "oh I know what that is referring to" if you had played D1 or 2 (maybe 3? Not sure how Drakengard 3 fits as Nier 1 is pre D3 after all), but still just as sensible even without having any Drakengard knowledge?

For what it's worth I did watch some Drakengard video essays or tidbits a long time ago. So I knew about the music thing you were talking about. And... really that's the main thing I remember as it really has been so long and I never had an urge to play D1 or D2. I do have a copy of Drakengard 3. Bought it purely out of my Nier fandom. But my PS3 Grill edition broke before I was able to get around to playing it (and I left all my PS3 stuff at my parent's place so it's not something I would be playing any time soon).

Really at this point it would be great to have those Cavia games ported to the PC for the sake of preservation and easy playability access.

Haven’t liked any of this Nier crap. Even Automata which should have been up my alley, like it was made for me. Was really into Drakengard 1 and 2 back in the day. Would like a port of 3 if only to have a version that doesn’t run like complete shit. Then again I really dislike the characters in that game. I don’t know what it is with Yoko Taro. I feel like after Drakengard 1 he just went all in and every game since then has been obnoxious. Drakengard 1 may be crazy and dark, but it’s still a pretty restrained and easy to follow story.

KOTOR 2 on steam has proper controller support. With the restored content mod it’s the better game of the two

(I still love the first KOTOR, but just saying).

KOTOR1 also has a pretty legit mobile port if that’s sounds interesting to you. That’s how I actually played it.

So did some quick research and apparenly this is a rip from an english repro, using a translation that was comissioned by the repro maker. Only to have their repro ripped and dumped, and other repros selling it cheaper. The patch seems to be a rip of that. So there might be bugs and stuff.

AGTP is still working on it as well at least

The translation was originally done by someone, but it was never released. I think the guy said "finish this so I can distribute it via repro" and then paid the hacker/translator/whoever the fuck. It was released much to the anger of fat neckbeards, so they were like haha uhh lets just dump the rom? So they did, then they were like haha let's just rip out the translation and distribute that for free

So that's what this is. It works fine (so far) on my GBA Flashcart (EZ Omega using Goomba)

I read the wiki summaries and maybe watched 1 video on Drakengard after I beat Automata. Didn't feel like I needed it to enjoy the game.

SOF2 was an insanely good MP game; I remember playing that game when everyone was tripping out on GoldenEye on N64 and it was really the point where PC had leaped WAY ahead of consoles.

yes!! the game was kinda overlooked at release but holy shit the mp was rock solid. great maps and excellent guns. i played the living shit out of that game. would go nuts for a rerelease.
