I just want to (permanently) lose my burden of intelligence, and there are few ways to do that effectively / quickly. I've seen some legitimate research papers on the subject...

Vinny's got the looks, Ryan the personality, and Brad the voice. Why would you want the dismissive petty one that might as well not be there?
Hack and slash series Ninja Gaiden is known for its brutal difficulty – but with the third game in the series developer Team Ninja plans to make the action more accessible."Team Ninja's aim with Ninja Gaiden 3 is twofold: to be the number one 3D action game of the time, and secondly, the main character is Ryu Hayabusa. They're the two things we're focusing on," Team Ninja boss Yosuke Hayashi told Eurogamer."Then, providing excitement, which is not only from the difficulty. That's just one of the elements. It's more like having excitement from fighting an exciting boss. That is what we needed."Ninja Gaiden 3 is being developed without the aid of Tomonobu Itagaki , who quit as Team Ninja boss in 2008.Gamers and critics have described NG3 as a reboot and an attempt by the new Team Ninja to make its own mark on the series Itagaki so loved."With the previous Ninja Gaidens, you were playing and you were excited, but it was more about putting the controller into the TV screen or something," Hayashi said. "That kind of excitement we were focusing on and aiming for. So that's why for you maybe it was too difficult at that time."That's one of the elements. We're not focusing on it, but focusing on providing excitement."So, is Ninja Gaiden 3 easier than 1 and 2?"Not easy," Hayashi replied, "but it will enable more people to play. More accessible. We don't plan to have Ninja Gaiden 3 only for the really good, skilled people."

Quote from: Bebpo on January 24, 2011, 12:50:01 AMThis is distinguished mentally-challenged and there's stuff like this in every game that comes out in the USpretty weak excuse-wise.I think Mother 3 didn't come over simply because Nintendo looks at the jrpg market in the US and sees maybe 50-100k potential sales max and they go "lol, not worth it". Which is the same reason why they didn't bring over Soma Bringer and may pass on Xenoblade and even Last Story. Jrpg genre is a fairly niche market in the west and jrpgs are the most expensive games to localize, those two opposing factors make money-sensitive companies like Nintendo or Namco just not bother. I don't know, they do bring the odd RPG over, like Glory of Heracles and Magical Starsign, and they seem to now be English players' only hope for DQ games. I'm inclined to believe the official line on Mother 3, which is that it simply came out too late in the GBA's lifespan to be worth releasing overseas. They had just done Tales of Phantasia's English release, which was a sales disaster, and around the same time, they opted to localize Starsign, so unless they have a crazy vendetta against Mother (which the fans would like to believe but uh ), I think it's simplest just to believe what they said on it: they didn't think it would fare well so far past the DS/PSP's release.

Variety’s reporting that Disney has restructured into a digital-only publisher, and will now eschew retail and packaging.“As part of setting a strategic direction for future success in the digital media space, the Disney Interactive Media Group today began a restructuring process,” read a statement to the site.It follows claims that 700 jobs had been lost at the company, with Epic Mickey developer Junction Point also seeing lay-offs.Disney saw some large core releases in 2010, with Black Rock’s Split/Second, Epic Mickey and Propaganda Games’ Tron Evolution all shipping.Propaganda has since closed. The studio’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, canned late last year.Despite Epic Mickey selling 1.5 million in the US, Split/Second and Evolution bombed in terms of sales.
Game looks alright. I like the lighting, but some of the art direction choices are ugly like the giant red crystals that don't fit in at all. Then again I'm guessing they're some sort of gameplay thing that is supposed to stick out. Dunno. Also what's up with all the CoD text popping up every 3 seconds when you shoot stuff. Ehh, I don't want that to be the future of all FPS games in MP.Will probably pick it up when it hits $30 unless the reviews sell me on it at full price.
Gaming analyst Michael Pachter has branded the Gamers’ Voice organisation a ‘crybaby’ following news it’s to report Activision to the Office of Fair Trading over the buggy PC and PS3 versions of Black Ops.Last week, Gamers’ Voice told IncGamers it’s to report the publisher to the government agency after it was ‘inundated with complaints’ from gamers. We asked Michael Pachter for his views on how Activision will react to the news and he replied: “They sound like a crybaby to me.”All games are buggy, some more so than others. Have you tried Fallout: New Vegas? Buggiest game ever.“I suppose this helps to explain why the game sold only 20 million copies instead of 25 million, and why it received only a 90 metacritic rating instead of 95 (sarcasm intended, in case you didn't pick up on it).“If people don't like it, they can take it back to retail for a refund. Most bugs are patched within a reasonable time, and any serious gamer expects bugs.”Pachter went on to say it’s the role of the gaming press to report bugs, stating: “It's the role of game reviewers to lower scores if they see bugs, and the role of the gaming press to report on buggy games. Consumers have many ways of discovering how good a game is before they buy, and publishers usually act quickly to patch bugs. I own the 360 version, and it wasn't particularly buggy, but I suppose I am more tolerant than most MPs (those ARE my initials).”The outspoken analyst then went on to claim the move by Gamers’ Voice is a way for MP Tom Watson, who founded the organisation but has no involvement in it now, to grab attention.Pachter said: “In my view, this is a blatant stunt by a politician to grab attention. He should probably pay more attention to keeping gaming jobs in the UK than to pissing off a large company that can create or eliminate UK jobs.”
Now we'll never get to see if Black Rock figured out how to make a good racing game with Split Second 2.
lol, the Wii game is the one that tanked, don't try and bring the 360 into this Emcee the Wii enjoys some atrocious third party sales, I wonder why
How was ToV 360 NA a failure? It did like 150-200k the first month. Did they really expect a million seller? 200k is standard jrpg fare in America and in many ways, I'd say it's pretty good for a jrpg as niche as Tales.
NOOOOO IT'S FAKE? I'M GOING TO KILL MYSELF
Disney don't want to be in this business anymore. They'd rather make flash game sites centered on Disney Channel properties.
Namco Bandai is having some fun with the JRPG fanboys over at Twitter and Facebook. It appears that Tales of Graces F might be coming to North America... but I'm sure it's more likely going to be a Pac-Man kart racer puzzle game or something.
Propaganda games is now dead and i blame AdmiralVisen and his burn on Turok PS3 http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/19/propaganda-games-shuttered/
