The two in Chicago always have an awesome and ever changing selection of PS2 games.

The prices are pretty ok. Last time I was there they had Silent Hill 2/3 for $20 with 4 for $15. All of the Fatal Frames on PS2 for $20 each. I bought the 1st one. I also got Raident Historia for the DS for $30. This was one with CD and box un-opened.

Well if youre interested, just do a search for any local shops. Record stores as well usually carry games.

Most of these places, along with Flea Markets, will use eBay to price their games, so you have to be wary of them. Also the condition, of course.

All my stuff was complete, except Okage, Quest, and DemiKids which was just the disc. I'll probably replace it with a complete copy.

Anyway, they're hiring 2 more people for the San Fran office so we'll see who ends up joining ship.

Anywayanyway, Matt + Drew + Danny + Brad are actually pretty great. Alexis is pretty cool generally as well. Not even including Jeff, the San Fran office is still strong.

Forgot about Drew, he's alright. Though I've only seen him do stuff that he was obviously hyped to do, as opposed to stuff that needed to be done just cuz, so naturally he comes off more knowledgable/excited/interested.

I kinda only swerve by their youtube every so often to see if there is something eye-catching in their quicklooks or w/e though, so idk.

this kinda sucks $:-\$ I make an effort to watch all their content and actually watch it on their site (their video quality is way better than YT, not to mention not capped at 30fps), but Brob is right. The Jeff/Vinny stuff is the best content on the site, and with him gone that's not gonna happen anymore. I don't want to sound like a sour cunt but it seems like the peak of GiantBomb is well behind them now. Sad

But yeah the bombcast is going to suck without Vinny. Drew just is'nt very good. He's not funny and all his jokes fall flat, because he tries too hard. They need Vinny.

Anyone remember GameTap?

It was a subscription service for the PC that provided users access legal access to emulators/roms, first access to select new PC releases, and a surprisingly large selection of "gamer" oriented video content. Users would pay a flat rate per month and be able to enjoy any game on the platform as long as their subscription was current. For example the Sam & Max reboot first premiered on the service and users were able to play games on systems like Genesis and Atari 2600. The front-end was well designed, the price was decent, and overall I really enjoyed the service.

I guess what I'm getting at is that I don't particularly feel the need to have a massive collection of old games and would greatly prefer some sort of legal alternative where I pay a flat fee a month and play whatever the hell I want. It's what people have been begging Nintendo to do for years with their Virtual Console service and what many hope Sony might offer down the line with PS Now.

Oh I see. I thought the paywall had already gone down. So when I saw it didn't I assumed that was just for Netflix.

My 360 has basically given up on running games so I thought I would just use it as this crappy youtube player. I'm a special fellow and I like watching game intros and stuff from the good olde days of PS1/PS2. I'd prefer of course to watch them on a CRT. So I thought I'd just hook up this near dead Xbox to my crtv just for that and have it play my youtbe playlist of that crap in the background.

Then I realized you needed Gold still and I was like "what kind of shit is this".
