It just dawned on me today that we've had GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas all ported to iOS and Android, but not BULLY, nor any of the "Stories" titles from GTA. I wonder why.

They're not going to change any of the actual gameplay, just update the visuals and UI.

Personally, though, as much as I love Full Throttle and am excited about the remastered version, the Lucas Arts adventure game remasters I'm most looking forward to are The Dig and Curse of Monkey Island.

edit: And I've been meaning to get a 3DS for forever now and this was just the catalyst that helped speed up that decision. Plus this new Pokemon game is pretty fun.

RE7 looks like the most interesting RE since 4, to be honest. And first-person horror is in right now, so I could see it doing really well at least in America.

i think it could be great if it avoided being campy (something I don't think Capcom has pulled off ever) but even then, re6 sold like 6 million copies and I can't imagine this similar numbers

They are attempting to avoid being campy, by having the writer of F.E.A.R and Spec Ops. They also have far more realistic western appealing character designs.

And yeah none of that appeals to me. Part of Capcom game's appeal to me is how stylish and cool they always look. Be it character design, world detail, art direction, and so on. RE7 has none of that.

RE games have always been action games. Be it slow paced or full throttle. From RE1-Code Veronica. Those games had deliberate and interesting combat mechanics. Then comes RE4 which is the best damn action game ever. This game doesn't look like it will have any of that.

agreed 100% that re has always been an action series, despite the nonsense call from fairweather fans to "go back to its horror roots."

i haven't seen any media for re7 besides the psn demo so I don't know if it even has real combat mechanics or what. I'm hoping it will, and that it will still have gameplay modes that encourage replayability, instead of just being a straight horror-themed adventure game.

well, the FEAR expansion packs...

and neither one (even using the base game for FEAR) is a good credit about avoiding being campy exactly, embracing it doesn't mean it's not there

also i think this will play differently, as it has actual combat in it, designed by capcom no less. I can't see it being just another haunted house simulator.

Not sure what to think about the new RE. That use to be my favorite franchise in the world. But that hasn't been the case since like RE 4.

I'm skeptical of their approach. But clearly the old approach had landed them in the trash. Hopefully it works out.

Diablo is one of those games that I just always want to be able to launch. It's nothing more than being selfish. I'd probably never sell it, so having it digitally would just be lazy convenience.
