Owners who have been attempting to trade in their “fat” PS3s for the currently-unaffected slim models are apparently being refused, reliable reports have indicated to us. GAME is refusing trade for those consoles at this time.

We have also received word directly from consumers directly regarding this.

Yeah, I've had good luck too.  My launch 360 died after 3 years and 1 month of service (which seems excellent for a 2005 360).  That's the only failure I've had this gen.
