I dunno, I enjoyed Lost Odyssey more than Vesperia, but Vesperia was pretty good in its own right.  Haven't enjoyed any others beside that, however...

I couldn't get into Lost Odyssey at all.  I liked the James Woods-esque character (forgot his name) but there was just something about the entire thing that felt off to me.  Like it was built by some C grade team.  Honestly, out of the Mistwalker games I preferred Blue Dragon even though that was about as plain jane as you could get.  Very pretty at times though, especially toward the end.

Vesperia was like a good PS2 RPG, and I mean that in the best way possible.  Really the only knock I have against it was that it was probably too long.

I really want to play Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon, they appear to be the closest we'll get this generation to old school turn-based JRPGs. Probably borrow a friend's 360 at some point to plow through them.

I actually loved WKC, my only complaint was not being to control all my party members without a lot of pausing and switching.

I wanted Final Fantasy XIII and Gundam shit, and the region-free capability was a big plus. That's why I got a triple back in early 2007 instead of a 360. You win some, you lose some.

Vesperia is the best "traditional" hd jrpg this gen, I agree, but it's hard to label is as traditional without having  a command based system.

That said, it's still fun as ever living fuck.

But I'd say that overall Demon's Souls is the best jrpg overall on hd consoles this gen so far.

Also, hitler, the reason I think Vaklyria is so awesome is beacuse it's perhaps the first innovative or new take on strategy rpgs I've played that actually WORKS and doesn't rely on Tactics Ogre/Final Fantasy Tactics/Fire Emblem conventions. It was a refreshing srpg, just like how Demon's Souls is a refreshing action rpg. But I guess I can understand it not being your thang.

Play for gameplay, ignore the story. That's the golden rule of jrpgs.

VC is certainly a different take on SRPG, and I can respect what it's trying to do but I haven't been able to really get into that genre since the first Final Fantasy Tactics.  FFT was the only one that ever got me hooked, and I've tried plenty of others without success.  I guess I just don't have the patience for that kind of stuff anymore. :shrug:

At least we can all agree that Eternal Sonata was made by distinguished mentally-challenged fellows, for distinguished mentally-challenged fellows right?  ES is like the Hurley's taint of RPGs.

Sony didn't fix shit. The RTC thinks it is now March 1st. The system understands March 1st to be a real date, so the system works. Sony just sat on their butts and waited for it to fix itself. I'm sure it would have taken them much longer then 24 hours for a fix, so now they can take their time and get a solution so this will not happen again in 2014.

Nothing. Actually I expected them to do nothing. When they posted it would be fixed within 24 hours. I read a few things and found out about the zune ARM processor bug, and knew they would just wait.

Just stated it wasn't fixed, it just went away, and if there is a patch it won't be until the next firmware update.
