my awesome pally and priest continue to dominate instances.  we rolled through RFK twice underpowered.  we were down to three people at one point just rockin' shit.

our second pug was kind of tarded.  the hunter messed up and because of that we all wiped horribly.  i was having the worst luck with greed/need rolls though.  i think i ended up winning something awful.  it's kind of annoying to watch people win item after item after item.  oh well.  i'm still on track to have my mount money as soon as i hit 40

I played WSG for 2 hours to get my war kodo marks (collect em all!) and I just dominated WSG. Its amazing how obnoxious a high level mage can be ;)

I might do some quests or something now.

The problems came up again but I think I fixed it by running the game in "opengl" windowed hmp. More testing later

Prole: Pallys are indeed awesome. They've made me jealous soo many times

I'm averaging 70K xp/hr today (levels 54-59).  This quest XP is unreal.  I'm going to wait a week to start outlands as I'm going to level with a druid (currently 48) and paladin (39).

Ran RFK quite a bit this weekend.  I think four runs total.

Ended up with dual thornspikes.  rawr.  Considering I've only purchased the necklace for an early stat bump, i think i'm fairly well geared.

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Muradin&n=Fantomas

my talent tree is a bit of a mess right now with two points in quick shots and one in ferocity.  I think I should have gone for the one in intimidation instead to give me more aggro control.

in instances i'm using my pet to essentially off tank and protect the magic users.  i've gotten really good at ice traps so fights are much easier for us (assuming someone doesn't AoE or something of that nature).  Financially I've got 80 plus gold.  my decision to take mining and skinning has paid off, i think as i'm well on my way to financial stability.  but then the question is what after i get my mount?  do i keep one and trade the other off for a crafting ability or keep just gathering?

Outlands is stupid easy to level through these days lol. I started a hunter cause I like the Crab pet, going to go beast/survivalist. Too many ezmod range hunters out there.

the best thing bout hunter in my mind is the ability to go so much faster on foot with pathfinding (bonus 8% to speed when coupled with apsect of cheetah)

makes not having a mount much more convenient and you can use it indoors.

Got a couple of new tanking pieces this week, up to 14k armor/13.5k health unbuffed.

Fun fact for warriors:

Arms PvP >>> Prot PvP > Fury PvP in BGs. I had fun this warsong weekend as prot, makes for a great flag carrier if you don't have a druid around willing to run the thing.

I picked a Corrupted Crab as my pet cause it looks cool, but aside from the Crabs the Draenei get with the thorns spell, there isn't a special 'Crab' ability which really blows. Its a pretty unpopular pet, but its defense isnt horrible so if I go Beast Mastery with some Survivalist I think I can make something that will work.

I still have to get boots/bracers/pants/rings for my mage, but I may Arena a bit as Fire Spec since according to some of the stuff I heard from people doing Arena in my guild, the lower levels of play are chock full of idiots, so I should do well enough for a time.

Blizzard provides a scripting language for the interface.

I use mods to provide me with a lot of information and shrink / move everything.  A nice clean center is important.  Obviously my paladin raid interface was involved but most of the time it's pretty straightforward.

My current mage interface (largely copied from one of my old ones and done in 5 minutes) -

The best thing about being a mage is porting.  It makes questing so much faster as long as you're not in southern fucking Kalimdor.  I'm also working on a hunter (currently level 21) and they are distinguished mentally-challenged.  I kill same level mobs in 10 seconds with no downtime and solo'd the boss of the ghostlands (the 5 person quest).  Utterly ridiculous.  On my mage with my friend who was playing a paladin we failed and had to bring in a third.

gaming with a hunter becomes a sub-game of how high can you get your DPS per fight.

Arms Warrior is fast! lots of crits, lots of dps! wtf u talkin bout! I was almost always tops in PVP with my arms warrior dps at 39.

Hunter DPS is weaksauce. My mage can pyroblast well into the 3000s, fireblast or fireball into the 2200s, scorch into the 1600s

After playing WoW and loving it. Do some of you guys have a hard time playing any other RPG? Not MMO, but RPG's in general? Other RPG's just can't compare to WoW type of thing?

I'm just curious. :P Either FA is nuts, or it's a common WoW trend. :P

Yeah, When you get your enchanting skills maxed you can make bank by enchanting peoples stuff. Just hang out in the main cities and you'll bank. Hell do it just for an hour and you'll make a good chunk of change. Just stock up on mats.

The gear you can make as a blacksmith kinda sucks tho.  By the time someone's got a lvl high enough for a decent weapon, there's something better/cheaper on the AH or quest rewards.  BS is a very thankless and expensive profession.  If you could freely repair, it'd be worth it...but as it stands, it's really not.

They need to tweak the Blacksmithing skill IMO. It really needs it. It's too expensive for what little you get out of it.

Just got done doing Deadmines for the first time with Azelion. I did it tons of times with Goinio and it's still very fun. Only suck thing is that I didn't get any drops lol - all the drops were either leather or caster stuff ha. We only had one caster so he had a field day  :lol

It was fun just rampaging through not worrying about anything. Haven't been able to do that in ages

Engineers can't really sell much of anything before they get to the higher levels right?

I've been making a good deal of monies with Azelion (leatherworker/skinner). Light leather sells pretty well, as do armor kits

Engineering is really great if you are a class with multiple roles that are one equipment change away-warriors, shamans, druids and the like, the fact that the goggles give you a great high item value slot filled for both your gear sets is really powerful. I love my Tankatronic and Furious Gizmatic goggles for PvE, they are pretty much raid quality stuff and it only took about 400g to skill up to it and 200g of mats to make for each.

When paired with mining or herbalism, use of the goggles plus a mote extractor can literally increase the productivity of herb or ore farming sessions by 50-100%. Especially if you use addon combos like Gathermate+Routes to create an optimal path for circling the zone's ore/herb/gas cloud spawn points and have an epic flying mount.

Other than that, most of the engineering stuff isn't very useful. Those two things alone make the profession worthwhile for my warrior, though.

Blacksmithing is just too expensive to level and the desirable recipes drop in places where by the time you get them you don't really need them, save for stuff like the Vortex belts and some of the other stuff. I still think there will be quite a few new blacksmith warriors next patch since people will be able to buy Nether Vortices off the AH/from badges to craft a Stormherald for arena PvP.

Quote

Again, they sell primals from mote clouds. It's very easy, very good money.

Yeah, right now the way BS and ENG is, it's really worthless. Anyone that puts effort into that should just say fuck it and switch. :P

Leather/Enchant/Jewels those are the money makers. Until they re work the BS and ENG.

I'm such a hater. I tried Black Smithing, it was pretty much useless.
