If he's confident that you'll find a high paying job than that is all the more reason to live in Brooklyn.   And no, all of New York is not created equal.  I'm in NYC and I'm surrounded by nothing but trees, senior citizen homes and smelly Jews.  Manhattan is good for a day trip to certain well-funded museums and exhibits, but for everyday loafing around and socializing Brooklyn is bar-none.  You should seriously press your friend on why he's stuck on Manhattan.

That isn't the case, I promise you. I don't know how I can make myself any clearer. He's only familiar with that specific part of Manhattan. He doesn't want to spend time again relearning his surroundings, and I don't blame him, because for groceries or subway stations or etc. etc. somebody needs to know where shit is. If I find the time to explore my own surroundings, I'll make sure to keep my financial situation in mind.

This guy isn't some surface-only upper-class white asshole. He loves all of New York, although he's aware there are some places gay people aren't welcome. No irrational white fear here.

I wouldn't be friends with this person if I didn't trust him enough to move to New York City with him, alright?

I've been having a problem with my right armpit for some time now. I'm a clean guy, I take good showers every morning. Yet I notice a lot of times by the evening my right armpit is getting musty, whereas my left armpit is fine. I use Axe deodorant; it's a gel stick but isn't particularly wet. I've used Arm&Hammer and some other bars, gels and dryer stuff with the same effect. If I'm working outside, or doing just about anything outside the right armpit gets musty even faster. It's not a horrible musty smell per se, and I've had people tell me they can't even smell it when I pass by. But I certainly can smell it when I stick my nose around there smh

I just called a family member about their business I currently work at and why there's a "FOR RENT" sign being put out front. Basically I think they're letting the business sink but haven't told me shit so I call them and leave a message I intended as inquiring as to what happened and saying that I won't be going in since there's nothing really happenin anyways (in a nice and grateful for them helping me way). But as I hung up I realized the message I sent comes off as "THANKS FOR NOTHING, JERKS!" and now I'm all George Costanza in that I want to take back the voice message

In South Carolina you have to live independent from your parents and pay rent or whatever and work at least 20 hours a week. I guess your income has to be under a certain number as well but when you're a college student working in retail that's pretty easy to do.

My girlfriend gets $97 a month in food stamps so we'll basically be making bank on groceries now. IT'S NAME BRAND FOODS FOR US FROM HERE ON OUT WOOOO! Hahaha...

Oh god they emailed back this morning with a bunch of questions and I responded a couple of hours later and then shortly thereafter they called but I didn't pick up because it was a blocked number and I get a lot of telemarketers but anyway they left a message asking me to call them back and I waited like 45 minutes to call because I didn't want to sound like some avoidant weirdo that just didn't pick up his phone but then when I called back it went straight to the answering machine and I left a message but haven't got a call back and now I'm freaking out hoping I didn't fuck this up oh god OH GOD

Spent most of the day driving around with my god-sister, supervising her as she drove around with a couple of her friends. From this experience I've learned

-17yo girls shouldn't be able to drive. She told me her mom lets her drive alone all the time, so I kinda figured she'd be decent. Instead I witnessed someone who struggled changing lanes on busy lanes, wasn't checking her rear/side windows nearly enough, and couldn't park between two other cars. There's no fucking way she passes her driving test 

-Taking about facebook irl is far more embarrassing than talking about games or nerd shit irl. I've refused to add her or any other family (she's not blood family but whatever, she's basically my little sister) but she constantly kept begging me to add her. Then her and her friends bragged about how many friends they had on facebook, who was messaging them, who they had to block, who was and wasn't a good facebook friend, etc. I would seriously rather discuss WoW in public than talk about how many facebook friends I have.

-The radio fucking sucks. I heard that new Katy Perry song a billion times today, same with Lady Gaga's new song. The stations literally play like 12 songs over and over again.

Things are going great with my job but I might have fucked up with a red light camera.  When I turned (I was driving a company vehicle), it the arrow turned from green to yellow and quickly red.  I understand it doesn't nail you if you're past a certain point but a wheel might have been on the sensors.  Two other cars were behind me and turned also.

It seems like I always think that I'm deep shit over something regarding my job.  It sucks.  I'm thinking of calling the courthouse on Monday to see if I got nailed with anything.  Assuming they give any information out because the vehicle is not in my name and if I did get busted, they wouldn't give that information out anyway.

It's irritating because the yellow times are virtually non-existent with intersections with the cameras.  It can be green when you are entering an intersection and red before you can't see the stop lights.
