Richmond in CA is the worst though.
Dont even talk about that place its so backwards. I got a ticket for turning on a red there a few years back. No where from the freeway off-ramp to where I was stopped had any signs saying I couldn't turn. I was just supposed to know that shit since I was in Richmond that's how they roll. I didn't have a license at the time and the cop was giving me a hard time. But I played the "I'm learning how to drive, please don't give me a ticket or tow my shit card"
I left with a verbal warning and since then I've never been back!
Now I sure as hell love Emeryville though. I went to look at some of the new loft's they are opening up in the old industrial part of town. The old buildings have so much character and the lofts are nice. Just not 600k nice ya know. I'd love to live there though!
Berkeley is nice too, my mom's bff lives there in the hills and own's a high end cosmetic dentistry business. Last time I went up there it was so nice you could see all the way to the southbay from his rooftop porch. I asked him how much a view like that was and I about damn near fell off the roof. I love going to his parties cause he's got his own little private wine label, so whenever there's a party we take home a few bottles of wine from his Sonoma property.
As for Random talk:
I'm writing a paper on Robotic telepresence networks and how they function and work. It's a 15 page paper but I'm writing just about everything I can into this paper and I'm only getting 6 pages or so after editing. I really wanted to hold off on writing this paper till near final's for my finals project. Where I can go on and elaborate on other subjects related and not just limited to the network aspect.
Did you know that their are robotic medical gurney by Toyota that can cut down on medical staff's need to get patients from their rooms to bring them to the OR or specialty labs? The only problem is they aren't linked properly into a central system that brings in all information from patient stat's to efficiently tasking the gurney's trips. So there again humans have not solved even the most basic of problems. Seems we're not too far away from a huge leap in robotic medical technology though.
