So Oracle Openworld is going on right now. It's strange to think that just a year ago I was presenting there with my old company. Now a year later I just came back from Oracle's competitor's conference where I represented my old company's competitor. Weird.

still mad about the time I was supposed to do jury duty but it was cancelled/moved out of my district. I learned it was a drug case, so I missed an opportunity to prevent someone from going to jail over bullshit.

So let's say, I root for the Clippers but don't really become a fan. And I will never root for the Galaxy because fuck them. I have no beef with the Clippers though. As for the Dodgers, I dunno.

How will I be able to follow those games out of state? Anyone ever do this? When I lived in Florida catching Texans games was awful.

This doesn't mean I can't root for the Clippers or Dodgers? I'm not talking about buying merch. I'm talking about if I see a game on TV with people so I don't look like a contrarian.

Rockets get slotted into the second back-to-back slot on primetime doubleheaders pretty often because they're a relevant west coast team w/ a decent fanbase. If you want to catch more than just 15 games a season service providers usually offer league pass for around ~150 bucks from what I remember.

i've never been to a hockey game. what i know about hockey i learned from the might ducks. i don't really want to bandwagon at all, honestly. I just realize that it'll be much harder to watch my teams. thankfully we live in this internet age but at the same time, what I enjoy the most about sports is community. And being the only rockets or dynamo fan will be pretty

Oh well that makes it easier. Outside of the Kings (and probably Galaxy) there is no community to sports in Los Angeles. For real. Kings and possibly Galaxy built communities by being niche sports (and the Kings literally all living in South Bay made it a hotbed area). Had a tube with a camera on the end shoved down my throat today, or as they like to call it, an upper endoscopy. Got knocked out before the procedure so it was nothing. But the doctor told me I was "fighting" everyone in the OR when I was out.

Turns out my stomach problems are the result of a hiatus hernia. There's still some lab results coming in a week or so, but I'm glad it's nothing serious.
