FFFFFUUUUUUUUU I have made it a mission to get my APRs lowered on my credit cards and I HAVE FAILED!!! I got all these fucking cards when I was a stupid teenager with no credit, and now I have great credit, but still have stupid interest rates. Called Chase 3 times for 2 different accounts. Fail. Fail. Fail. Called Bank of America. Semi-fail but for right now, fail. Not even bothering with the store cards (Old Navy, etc.) because those are designed to be ridiculous, but I never have enough of a balance to generate more than $5 of interest anyway, so whatever.
WTF!!!!!! How in the hell do people call these companies and get their rates cut in half??? I tried everything (all of these are somewhat accurate, well except for the first). I tried the "Well I have another credit card offer with a much lower rate and can transfer my balance, unless ya'll will lower your rates.
" FAIL! I tried the "Well I'm getting this money and it's just enough to pay off one of my credit cards, and I'm going to pay off the one with the largest APR, and that's you." FAIL! I tried the, "Well I just paid this card off today, and I'd like to start using it again for the reward points, but with this APR, I'm going to leave it in my wallet. Actually, I have another card with you as well, and it has a large balance on it, and if you won't lower my APR, I will pay it off in the next month and will never use them again." WORST FAIL OF ALL TIME!!!
I give up. Should've tried this a few years ago before the market crashed, but my credit wasn't nearly as good back then. But no wonder my credit is fantastic! Everybody wants to lend to some 'tard that pays her bills on time and still has ridiculous APR rates on all her damn credit cards!
