Well it's official... I've turned into one of those wives. I currently have a spreadsheet saved to my desktop with a shopping list, including how many coupons I have and how much they are worth. Currently my list is at $90.76 (tax is included), and I'll pay around $38.53 if the coupons work as they should. Don't think I'll ever get to XTREME COUPONER status, but eh, that's over $50 saved on shit we'll use. WITH NO JUNK FOOD! Ugh, seeing that damn TLC show where this lady has bottles of soda to the ceiling.

Just cause it's on sale doesn't mean you need it. I think I have one 20oz. Sobe water on there because I like the pomegranate one, but nothing else questionable. Ok, some Ben & Jerry's too, but that's it!

Being unemployed is the greatest yet suckiest thing ever.

Edit: Also, if you ever see My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding on TLC, watch it. I want to be embarrassed to say that, but I'm not. I'm going to look for episodes that aired in the UK.

Diana started that like two weeks ago. She even bought a coupon folder that fits in her purse and categorizes them. Now she goes through the Sunday paper and cuts coupons every Sunday morning in bed... like an old lady

I think Whole Foods has their own online database of printable coupons. Not positive as there isn't one nearby.

yep! she watched a couple of episodes at her cousins house and she started researching crazy coupon shenanigans after that.

I'm not sure exactly what she does but everytime we go somewhere she pulls out her book and says "let me see if i have a coupon!"

I think I got screwed because I was technically let go after the start of a new week. Then there was a problem determining severance vs vacation pay, because one goes against unemployment and the other doesn't. Talked to a guy last week and he said I should get $$$ today, but so far, nada.

But I'm using the assumption that you started with 70 employees 10 years ago, which is definitely wrong. I think you'd need to know how many people left in the past 10 years, no? Maybe "growth in employment" is something different than what I'm thinking.

I had my last final (evar) today, but in the middle of the final my blood sugar dropped. I walked up to the prof and asked if I could leave to get candy and return and he told me to just go, go, go. Not to worry about it. So I do it, get a candy bar and orange juice. I come back to get my final that I had left with them, and he gets a cough drop out of his bag to give to me. i tell him I' fine.

Anyways, I finish the paper and he's still sort of watching me. It was nice in a concerned way. Afterwards, I see people with essays, so I thought maybe the had my final essay ready so I go back in. He nduges the TA and my TA tells me her class' essays aren't ready yet. So I leave again, and when I look back, the prof winks at me. I was like ok.

Now I'm home and he's emailed me asking if I'm still ok.

That was the right answer on the assessment but how? You have 70 employees and the next year you have 140. That's double. Add another 70 to 210 total employees and that's triple the original. And so on. 630 additional employees would be 9x the original 70. If something is 9x higher, it wouldn't be less than 100%....

Right?

God damn this is like staring at a word that's spelled right and the longer you look at it, you start questioning it. Maybe they threw an "average annual growth" in there I missed but I doubt it.

I'd call that more of a guessing-what-they-really-meant-to-ask question than a math question (granted, that's probably the more important skill in e.g. enterprise software development). My answer would be 630/(700-630) = 900%, though.

Talked with my boss this morning and figured out my school assignments for next year. Keeping my current high school and taking on the alternative high school instead of my middle school. I had to drop my middle school as we're adding two programs there and my case load would be huge. I'm going to miss it, though, I'd been there for five years.
