Though looking at that picture my hair is still like 6 inches shorter than it needs to be. My bangs are the right size but the back is too short.

I finally got my TOEFL's ibt results:

Each section is out 30, making the total 120. Converted to paper based score I got 610. I thought I did horribly on the test thanks to my unfamiliarity with the format, so I'm pleasantly surprised. I sucked pretty badly at writing though, couldn't finish any of the questions within the limit. I should post on forums less and write academic papers more

So I think I've narrowed down my apartment hunt to a couple of choices.

I can live in a small quiet 5 star community run by an apparently awesome apartment manager for ~$1250 a month, but I have to drive through stop/start awful freeway traffic of 40+ mins to and from work each day and it'll be 30-40 mins to visit my friends who live where my work is.

Or I can live in a generic corporate run complex that's one of the better ones (meaning 3-4 star instead of 2-3 star like most of them), in a little bigger place with a nice view that's 5 mins away from my work/friends and is going to be more like $1900 a month.

Or I can live in walkable distance from a giant entertainment center with bars, theaters, parks, dozens of food places, thousands of people in a complex that is 2-3 star (apparently ants crawling out of the drains, dog poop everywhere, noise issues) in a smaller place for like $1800-1900. This drive to work/friends would be about 10-12 mins.

Or I can live in a place that's about 15-20 mins away, near a shopping center with trader joes and some food and gas station and stuff, in a 3.5 starish place, decent size but nothing really going on in the area for around ~$1600.

Money-aside, I'd really rather go with the first one, because I just want to live somewhere totally awesome with great people and good service; clean, safe, lack of bugs. But the drive is going to be really really bad and I will be near nothing at all. The 2nd option is overpriced but being right where work/friends is will be convienient, but it's the nicest room of the 3 corporate ones. The 3rd means I get to live like being in LA/NYC and party all the time and then walk back and crash in my pad, but I hate hate hate bugs and dog poop. Last one is a good middle ground, but it's just totally plain and boring and in the middle for everything.

Found another one that I had actually forgotten about long ago. It's another complex that's private owned and run by a family and has 100% 5 star ratings on internet reviews over the last decade. It's about 7 mins further away from where I currently live, so it'd take about 20 mins to work and friends, though no traffic and it's not really near anything. Up in the hills with a nice view over the city and a lot of dirt trails. ~$1450. Will go check it out tomorrow. This might be the best solution out of the group.

20 minute commute ain't nothing. finding a job 5-10 minutes out from your place would be perfect sure but 30 minutes is about the average for non-retail and warehouse work in a given area if you don't live in a large city. I used to do a 45 minute to 1hr commute (depending on traffic) and it sucked and this was before MP3 players were as cheap as they were. Fortunately, at the time, Opie and Anthony were on terrestial radio and broadcasted in the great 4-7 spot. God I feel old.

The cost of rent where you live though, bebpo, gives me douchechills. Gawd damn.

So I went to a wedding by myself last night... (my girlfriend didn't wanna go, she's really pissing me off about this kinda stuff lately) and I ended up talking to 2 girls and getting their phone #s... only problem is, they were both from DC!

Which is pretty funny, since it seems that I have gotten more phone #'s from girls who live in DC than here in NY...
-there was the time I went to a lounge in NYC for my friend's birthday, some girl comes up to me and says her friend likes me... chatted up her friend, got the #, she was from DC
-went to Electric Zoo in 2009, and talked up a girl who was checking me out during Desyn Masiello's set... got her # and she was from DC...
-went to Otakon in Baltimore, danced with a redhead at the rave party, got her # of course she was from DC...

We have a dog that won't eat period (even treats), but after taking his food away for so long he'll eventually eat. Some animals are just picky eaters, though I doubt that's what's going on right now with your pet

...If this continues I would suggest what Mr. Gundam recommended and take her to a vet.

Does she act sick or anything? Some dogs just go through phases where they get tired of their food or something. I've also heard of putting food down at normal times and picking it back in a half hour or hour. They'll usually get the hint after 2 or 3 times of going to their missing bowl.

I can't do that though

my sweet babies... They love rice though and once it's mixed with their food, they have a hard time picking around and eating only the rice. I do the same when they get 'rhea, and the rice stops that almost immediately.
