I'm done complaining about dental work; it only breeds bad fortune.
Last night I broke a porcelain crown, which probably was damaged from all the teeth grindan I do. Big jagged hunk of porcelain sticking into my mouth last night, jabbing my tongue. I put the night guard in and it kept it from scraping me up all night long.
Today I went to the dentist, he says we'll have to replace this crown, it'll be two sittings, one for the temp, one for the final, it'll cost the same as my other crown I just paid for, and it will require that the night guard be re-cast and re-made, because it won't fit the new crown once it's in.
He's a nice guy; he's going to re-cast and create the entirely new occlusal guard for free, because he feels bad about my luck.
Edit: and today's inspection and grinding down the spur was also free. Nice.
I'm still in for full wallet rape on the new ceramic crown though.
