why did she go through a construction street
i live less than a block from where that happened. it's not really a construction street.
there's a lot that they're finally doing something with between two buildings. in the past month there has been traffic in and out of it daily as they prep to build. the "construction street" refers to a large fence like sign which guards the front of the construction site and warns of an "active driveway" so that people don't / can't park where the workers come in and out of all day.
the sign is placed a few feet from the curb making it easy to spot.
my guess is that there may be some wood or debris from construction which made its way to the street which could have been hit by her bike messing up her balance even more.
i can't say for certain because this morning the scene had been scrubbed clean. No blood, no debris, nothing to indicate that there had been an accident there at all.
Yeah, I hate to say it because it's pretty sad and I don't want to incite the bike vs car debate but it's pretty clear it was her fault in this case. Shitty deal though.
Yeah, basically the truest example of an accident. I feel sorry for the driver of the car as well. It can't be easy to realize that you're on your way home, then next thing you know, you've just run over someone.
