Yep. It dented the frame, shattered the back window, broke out the side mirrors, cracked the front mirrors and brake lights, and best of all, left maybe three or four inches of standing water. At this point, I was informed that the car now has mold issues.

It isn't really worth it to get it fixed and I'm getting more than I thought I would for a car like that. I need to go car shopping.

To make matters worse I noticed a major overdraft on my bank account. I barely keep any money in checking - just enough for gas, groceries, etc. For some reason a bill took out of my checking instead of saving, leaving me with the overdraft. I'm gonna have to call them and complain smh, that shit pisses me off

Changing oil is pretty sweet. I remember doing it once in shop class high school along with other manly motions, but now I'm lazy and don't remember what I learned in HS, so like Himuro I pay a guy to do it instead.

In my cars it's cheaper to take it somewhere. The only times I do it myself now is if I find some synthetic oil on sale. Buying it regularly at full price is about 55 bucks (4 cars that all take synthetic) and two of my cars have finicky oil filters that cost 10 bucks each. Dude down the street will do it for $29.99

Changing oil rocks. Although one time I spilled a shit ton of oil in the garage as a kid. I started adding oil to the car but had forgotten to put the cap on at the bottom of the car, so it just poured right onto the floor lmao.

I did this hungover when changing transmission fluid once. The sad thing is I was so out of it I had put in 2 quarts already

i saw someone try to pull out while a biker was going past. dude got knock clean across the street into another car. fortunately he was pretty much fine. the dickbag car owner got out and started screaming at the biker even tho it was clearly the drivers fault

A friend in high school was standing just a couple of feet away when a bus driver pulling up to his stop had a fatal heart attack, drove halfway up the curb, and smashed some girl who was also waiting for the bus. I remember him saying she flew a good five or ten feet back $:-\$ She survived, though.

I also was actually hit by a car while riding my bike to work a little over two years ago, but it was just some lady pulling out of a parking lot going 15 mph. Not nearly as exciting. As minor of a collision as it was, I was still so whacked out from the adrenaline rush that I didn't realize my wrist was broken until about an hour later

i live less than a block from where that happened. it's not really a construction street.

there's a lot that they're finally doing something with between two buildings. in the past month there has been traffic in and out of it daily as they prep to build. the "construction street" refers to a large fence like sign which guards the front of the construction site and warns of an "active driveway" so that people don't / can't park where the workers come in and out of all day.

the sign is placed a few feet from the curb making it easy to spot.

my guess is that there may be some wood or debris from construction which made its way to the street which could have been hit by her bike messing up her balance even more.

i can't say for certain because this morning the scene had been scrubbed clean. No blood, no debris, nothing to indicate that there had been an accident there at all.
