I was also excluded from a meeting today. First time that's happened. I told the manager I work with that I was sure it was because they were going to be talking about scheduling -as in, who is going to have to suffer and work the hours I did until they can promote someone else- but he was not happy about it and pretty much said what Chrono did in his last reply.
And that was the case. They told the other managers that they were going to have step up and work Saturday mornings until a replacement can be found. The bitch who harassed me in particular I'm told was extremely upset about it. GOOD.

Then they started sending out Emails about promotional opportunities. The first one was a horrible schedule - Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, working until like 12:00 AM (10+ hour shifts). I don't know who in their right mind would want to do that and the people on the floor collectively chuckled at it. Then came a second position...which was basically my schedule, only starting/finishing an hour later (Tuesday-Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM and Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM).
This was hilarious. I had been told two weeks ago that my schedule was going to have to change and I'd get something like the shittier schedule they first posted....and then they come around and offer something so close to mine right after that.

But the best posting was for a dedicated team. Now, normally dedicated teams are the cream of the crop at this place. Your typical team there supports 10-12 different law firms and has to be ready to connect to any of them at a moment's notice and keep up with all their changes/software. I should also mention that your schedule could be set for any time of the day/evening as this place is operating 24/7. They make people work on a lot of holidays, too.
Dedicated teams just support one firm and also get to have off on all the days the firms are closed, including those holidays. They also don't work weekends and typically don't work past 8 or so at the latest.
...Except for this new team. There's two big things about them: 1) They refuse to use our software and 2) they require everyone working for them to have their own firm-issued laptop and accounts. The problem with this is that nobody working there knows how to use their software. It's archaic and shitty. There's also nobody outside a few people who can take their calls/Emails. So this has led to major staffing problems and incredibly shitty schedules for the poor souls who have to support them. This new posting was for some shitty timeframe and the days off were Tuesday and Wednesday. I should also note that the poor schmuck who gets this would be working Saturdays and Sundays all by him or herself.
So it's no wonder that the entire team -and the regular team who has to back them up- are miserable and all I see are FB posts from them looking for work.
Anyway, I keep talking about all this shit and none of it matters anymore. I'm off tomorrow, and then it's just Friday and Saturday, followed by four more days until FREEDOM.
