Everything else looks bad to uninteresting.  Even Dance Central looks like a total bore and people are saying it is the best thing.  It doesn't look bad or anything, but it's like an accurate Just Dance, and I don't want something like Just Dance period. 

Dance Masters probably means that I will buy Kinect one day.  The three problems are content, space required, and price.  Well, not so much price because if it had content, I'd buy it at $150.

Oh I think a couple of things look interesting. I mean honestly if someone gave it to me I would probably buy Your Shape. But let's face it. I think Dance Masters looks pretty good since it seems like Ouendan for dancing, but I'm never going to buy it because I'm not going to dance.

Okay, got a new 360 (it came with Forza 3 and a download code for the full version of Alan Wake...they told me it wasn't meant to be sold until the end of the month.  Bullshit?) and tried out the dancing games.  Dance Masters is definitely very "wacky-jappy" and seemed fun in brief spurts, but Dance Central is definitely where it's at.  Fun as hell and we were laughing our asses off at the freestyle segments.

Sadly, none of the Games-on-Demand titles are available in Japan. They're locked by IP-address, like the movies and TV shows they offer (but even that has its own inconsistencies); the last one I tried was the Fable 2 full game free download, but that didn't work, even through the website Marketplace.

After less than a week on sale, US retailer GameStop has picked Kinect as the first round winner in the Great Motion Controller War of 2010.

When asked whether Microsoft's Kinect add-on or Sony's Move would come out on top this Christmas, senior VP of merchandising and marketing Bob McKenzie told Eurogamer, "I'd say right now Microsoft's Kinect is looking to be the winner of the two for us.

"We're very happy with the sell through over the weekend. It has met our expectations and actually exceeded our initial forecasts."

"I do have them both obviously and the Move sports bundle is a great option," he added, "but I knew for my family – with an eight-year-old daughter and ten-year-old boy – that Kinect was really going to be the thing that was more geared towards my household."

Microsoft recently up-scaled its sales expectations for Kinect from three million to five million by Christmas, citing exceptional demand for the hands-free controller.

Sony has a similar target for its Move peripheral but has had another month on sale. It's shifted around 2.5 million units worldwide so far.

Kinect went on sale in the US on 4th November, with a European release due this Wednesday.
