fyi there is an indie pack that has Super Meat Boy and a bunch of other games (I remember Amnesia and Killing Floor being a part of it).  If SMB isn't a daily deal, then I'd hold off for that.

Happens every time at 10AM pacific while they're updating the store. By 10:30 it should all be ready.

that BJ Winterbottoms game is 49 cents.  I got it during the last steam and didn't like it, but it is the cost of a few stamps now and it's one of those time/clone based puzzle games.

The FEAR pack is a good deal at $10.  FEAR 1 + expansions and FEAR 2 + DLC (that takes around an hour or two to finish).  Since I have the latter two, I'm just going with the first and the expansions for $2.50

I wonder when steam will get the actual site up so I can know what is a daily deal.

Where's the Oddboxx? :'(

That plus $14.99 for Vietnam =  a hell of a lot of MP gaming for $21.78

FEAR 1 + Expansions

The lame thing about FEAR 1 is that you need to download it with the expansions.  IT makes the entire download close to 17 gigs.

Oh man the port of Stranger's Wrath is fucking awful. They better patch this shit quick. No widescreen support, game glitches out in FPS mode, looks like ass.

Why did they even port this to PC if they were gonna do this?

I was under the impression that the version they were releasing was going to have all the new HD doodads from the get-go. Oh well, my fault for expecting a PC game at launch to be anything less than a whopping headache. Still, :hyper

EDIT: At any rate, my toll for the day is
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
The Oddboxx

and I'm seriously considering getting FEAR 2 and its DLC, but that's not a decision I'm jumping to make.

Truth be told the reason the PC version doesn't have the HD models is the PS3 version isn't done yet, and we wanted to get the Oddboxx out this Holiday Season.

It is HIGHLY likely we will be releasing an update for PC at a later date!

Getting the older PoP stuff, even though Sands of Time is probably the only PoP game I ever need. It should look nice on PC at least, esp. in 3D. Anything on that scale tends to look nutso in 3D Vision. Oddbox too.
Will wait on daily deals for the other stuff I'm after. So irritating that EA and Rockstar is region-locked in Japan.

I gave in and bought the oddbox when I saw they had achievements.  I'm such an achievement whore :(
Will wait and hope they patch Munch/Stranger to working condition before trying to play them.

Also got Broken Sword 1 DC for $2.50 even though I heard it's worse than the original and I still have the original's cd around somewhere.  Still want to check out the new additions they added at some point.  Especially with Broken Sword 2 DC coming out (which could improve the original?  I heard the original is kind of bad, so any additions might help it).

Stranger's Wrath is not running well?  I didn't even know if Oddboxx is any good for the PC but I just wanna support their efforts so that we might get more console classics from last gen on the PC.

I also got BC2 even though I already have it on a shared account with my cousin.  Since it's so cheap, I just got another one in case we ever wanna play together.

Apparently both Xbox ports run worse than the majority of X360 ports.  Lots of crashes, audio problems, have to manually set resolution through the config.txt.  Plus no widescreen support.

:(

Hopefully between official patches and unofficial patches they'll get them working eventually.  Still seems like a really poor way to show off your company to the world.  Makes the devs look incompetent.

Surprisingly, the two oldest games still look pretty good, aside from the low res.  I tried them at 1:1 pixel on my monitor because it's mpossible to play them blown up.  It's just a blurry mess when upscaled to the native res of my monitor.  I wish they had redone the art so that it at least runs at 720P native.  They must have had the original assets in higher resolution.

Ok got PoP working.  Visually the game looks really nice!  It's like a real next-gen Sands of Time.  Very detailed Assassin's Creed 2 like graphics in PoP style.  Controls feel exactly like SoT.  Lotta platforming and stuff right away.  Seems good, especially for $5 (as long as the ubi servers don't go down!)

Also FRAPS will crash the game at the start.  Took me a little to figure out why it wouldn't get past the logo.
