Personally I would spend the money just to stop worrying about it. My attitude during these sales is: I'm gonna buy everything now that I might conceivably buy later on, when it'll cost more. Especially for all this stuff I'm double-dipping on. I bought Dragon Age on 360, played about 40hrs, then bought it on PC and played about 30hrs. Whatever, it's a great game and I've enjoyed the crap out of it. I've spent way more on that on games I've never played or barely played.

Darn you and your logic

/bought DA:U :)

Maybe I'll play it in Jan finally.

If you haven't seen this already, check out this link:

http://www.pcgamer.com/2010/11/18/18-essential-dragon-age-mods/

this too:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=24477441&postcount=19

I'm gonna use a few of those when I finally sit down to play it.

Original game + 9 official DLCs + a dozen or so mods + 1 full expansion = gonna be a lot of content, haha.

whoa, thanks!

I look at Ultimate as getting the DLC for free, since I'd pay more than $25 for just Awakenings. I should really sell off my console versions of all this stuff i've been getting but...Japan. No resell value for Xbox anything.

Probably never, since it's already been released at retail here in both Japanese and English. Sometimes things are just delayed until the translated version hits the local market but if Civ hasn't been released now, I wouldn't count on it ever happening. Get some kind soul to gift it to you. I would ask myself but I think I have a free code coming my way soon anyway.

I picked up The Ball and BFBC2 Vietnam off D2D yesterday using the 20% off code Joe posted a couple of days ago, only played a little bit of Vietnam but it's got that BF1943 vibe going with lots of wacky kills/deaths

btw, you can use the key code from steam to register BFBC2 on EA and download the game from there, too - it's the version i play, since i'd been having punkbuster issues with the steam version

I too picked up Bad Company 2 Vietnam off Direct2drive and can confirm it works with the Steam version.  Hopefully, I won't get my ass kicked too bad in this game because the new stuff seems pretty cool.

they don't even have the extra bonuses this time

btw, I see few people mentioning them, but Steam does a single daily deal for indie games too.  It's always on page 15.

Today is: AI War: Fleet Command for $3

Meant to grab this last year when it was on sale but I was out of funds. Snagged it as soon as I saw it on sale today. Can't wait to try it.

Witcher Director's Cut is 5 bucks?  Ridiculous.  I could never get into it but that seems like a damn good deal for those that are into that sort of shit.

I wish I only paid 5 dollars for my copy. :/

I thought the humble bundle was still going on and was going to say that machinarium for $3 is a waste when you could have got it, 10 other games, and donated to charity for whatever you wanted.  Plus those copies activated with steam anyway.

another day, money saved.

holy fucking shit, the Witcher runs decently on my macbook.  :rofl

--Nvidia 9400m
--2gb ddr3
--2.0ghz core 2 duo

of course, it's all set to low.  but the res is 1200x800.  the framerate is shit when I fight 5+ guys though and it doesn't like sparkly magic effects at all.  I think it'll be totally playable though.

whatever, for $5 I can't complain.

Sigh, I've been trying to make a few purchases for the past three hours but without any success.

At first I tried using active CC but it was rejected, tried my Paypal (which is attached to the same CC) but it was also reject, and finally tried adding funds using the same paypal account, it went through, but when I changed my payment method to "Steam Wallet" (which now has enough money), that too got rejected :maf

Yeah, I tried sending a gift to an EBer yesterday but it got rejected.  But I was able to buy stuff for myself today.

I think the steam anti-fraud thing is especially iffy on heavy gifting.

Not much for me today, although I'll probably weaken and get the Doom pack along with Rush before the day is out. Lots of these games look pretty bad.

btw, I learned on the Steam forums that NWN 2 has been patched FORTY EIGHT TIMES since release. Probably most of that is MotB. Obsidian :lol

Brother in Arms games are great.  They're WW2 shooters that are more about controlling your squad than it is about shooting people (partly because you're kinda gimped alone compared to Medal of Honor or Call of Duty games).  It's mostly simple commands, but entertaining nonetheless.  The newest one, Hell's Highway, makes your shooting ability more useful and there are sections where you play on your own.
