It didn't appeal to everyone. Personally it's the best season of any show I've seen, and most people and critics would agree it's amazing. But if someone doesn't like it fine. But complaining because it wasn't "cops and criminals?" Seriously?

And to clarify, "not that hot on Season 4" for me just means "I didn't think it was the best season like almost everyone else does." It was still great, of course.

I hate it when people say this but it applies to this guy: he just truly does not get the show.

I think I said it at GAF but The Wire is a different animal than Law & Order or CSI or The Shield. He's just trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.

I agree. I think it is time for me to take another year long break from GAF. This is just a guess but I think a lot of them are insincere about their hypersensitivity; the lady doth protest too much and what not. Kind of like a priest that diddles kids or an advocate of raising taxes who happens to be a tax cheat.
