Jesus!  He gets shit like that over fucking headphones?  I discuss any purchase over like 30 bucks with my wife but even when I blow hundreds of dollars on something I don't get shit for it.  She trusts me enough that I'm not going to ruin us financially with my purchases and vice versa.  Fucking hell.  That's no way to live.

Edit: Just noticed they were apprently super expensive headphones.  Still, what a shitty marriage.  They're both terrible at it if they can't communicate and trust each other to handle the finances responsibly.  That should be on the low end of the totem pole regarding marriage problems.  My wife would just tell me to let her know next time I want to spend that much money and then I'd be the loving partner and discuss it with her the next time.  Bam!  Problem solved.  Was that so fucking hard?  If so, don't get married.

Pretty much. I talk to my wife about buying bigger items or lots of stuff all at once. The occasional game, CD or blu-ray is no big deal.

Now going back and actually reading the GAF post, it appears that the wife was more pissed about the headphones being shitty than him spending them money without telling her.

I'm sure Segata will prove me wrong as per the usual but I suspect that there are no real paid virals -- most of these people do it for free without being asked.  They like the image and the prestige on GAF (lulz) and want to be known as "that uncharted 3 guy" or "that guy with that kick ass wii u game op."

I'm just upset because the writing's crappy. The basis of the article, that Xenoblade would be better on a more powerful console is true, but isn't worth complaining about when Nintendo's about to launch an HD console in six months. The idea of the article is extremely late, and the execution is extremely poor. I'd go so far as to say it's one of the worst-written gaming articles I've ever read, so Oscar, your lumping it in with the rest of games journo doesn't do it justice.

Game Informer definitely have to answer why they published this to their site without any kind of cleanup.

I don't think I've ever seen an actual article from GI or IGN or 1up that used all caps and some variation of *sigh*. Hell, I haven't even seen *sigh* used that much on NeoGAF lately.

Would love to have links to your old articles though. 

Then again I do stick mostly to GI and IGN and 1up (well not really, but they come up more than the third-string no-name sites) and say what you will, they're much better than those third-string no-name sites.
