It reminds me of the oblivious comments made in threads about how black males deal with stereotypes. Women have to deal with things on a daily basis that guys will never experience. I can't even imagine how it would feel to be a sexual object in the eyes of people multiple times a day, and how it could effect how I thought, what I decided to wear, when I decided to go out with friends, etc. I've certainly seen women deal with these things at work and at school, but I'll never properly understand it.
For instance, work example: we have a patient who constantly makes inappropriate comments about one of our hygienists. At first it was "just" flirty stuff, then it moved to more overt shit, perhaps most prominently:"I love a thick woman." He's married - hell, his wife is a patient too - but I've heard him invite the hygienist to lunch, movies, etc "just as a friend." The front office was able to somewhat handle things by making sure he sees our other hygienist instead.
I can't even fathom pulling that type of shit on a woman, public or private
