Game Cube is way better. It's better than the Wii, too.
I like A Black Falcon, but this thread takes his wall of text posting antics to the max

Also, 145 N64 games? I had to trouble to get 15 good games...
HOLY SHIT.

The great thing about Nintendo these days is they can't possibly put out a machine as absolutely fucking shockingly shit as the N64.
Agreed. That era was the lowpoint for Nintendo and I have never liked their systems as much as a I did the NES and SNES since. Virtual Boy, N64, and Gameboy Color were all huge letdowns to me. I loved the Game Cube and GBA, but then came the DS and Wii and I lost most of my interest in Nintendo again.
Loved Goldeneye, ISS soccer, Mario, Mario tennis, Mario Golf, Sin and Punishment - but that was about it. Weakest line up of any console in living memory.
Pretty much just liked Goldeneye (for the multi), Conker's Bad Fur Day, and Smash Bros. S&P seemed cool but I never did play much of it. Had some fun with Beetle Adventure Racing and Killer Instinct Gold too.
And hey, i had a raging bone for it when i got it - i was sitting my finals/doing my final year project at Uni -and- desperately trying to 100% clear Mario 64. I honestly though "hmmm... this about wraps it up for the PS1!" ... lol... though the big give away should have been the hilarious 64.99 quid games
When the N64 came out, it was the opposite for me. I was excited about it when the game store I was working at got Japanese N64s in the summer of 1996. Then I saw Mario 64 and was instantly turned off by it. I hated the direction they went in and ended up having way more 3D platforming fun with Jumping Flash! 2.
The N64 is the only Nintendo system I never bought...I even bought the Virtual Boy (when EB slashed the price to $30 new), although I did end up with one. The Zelda OOT hype was so huge that my grandfather bought the system and the game for me. I wasn't a fan of Zelda either and sold it off for Goldeneye. The system sat gathering dust most of the time. I still have it and most of the few games I got sitting somewhere in my parents' house.
