drive by troll: well I have no problem with this
gay poster/gay rights supporter: *outrage*
gay rights supporter with more "middle ground" position: seems to me that this is a big mis-communication..
gay poster/gay rights supporter: *outrage*

How can there be any discussion when everyone is treated like a drive by troll if their opinion isn't 100% in tune with whatever position Gay-GAF takes?

I don't get a sense they want to discuss the various issues as much as act indignant. PC-GAF isn't a group as much as a mentality, that if you take up the moral side then you are right and have access to outrage, but at a certain point people seek to remove the "sides" and just engage problems and issues, and that linear thinking within PC-GAF is incapable of interacting with this. It just resets back to outrage and you're like "wtf are you mad about".

Isn't that how GAF works in general these days? Most people there are seething with hostility and rage, ready to lash out if you don't support their extreme and often tunnelvisioned viewpoint. They also like to use "fuck" as a way to show just how serious they are:

"I don't think that is how it should work" - Sane and rational
"No, I don't fucking think that is how it should fucking work" - SRS BIZNESS IS SRS

I've taken a break from that board. Everyone is extremely angry and it is often because if they're not as angry as the next guy, their asses are getting flamed. It's all impotent and put-on rage though. Much like the people foaming at the mouth about piracy but you just know that they have a multi GB stash of illegal downloads on their HD.
