But I can say transexual in a demeaning way as well if my intent is to put someone down. Words like cheeseburger or crossdresser can be used with malice, but the words themselves at face value don't hold any special emotional charge. Now I understand there are those who have heard the word used toward them in that ill-intended way and have that emotional response to it, but that doesn't mean they get to make the word a malice-tipped slur and only that.

With Jap I see how the damage comes from the word due to the public usage of it. It's part of a propaganda campaign. I don't see that sort of stuff with cheeseburger. I know its not always used with malice because I see it used without malice, but I know it has been used with malice. I am not going to remove the word from vocabulary over that. 1. It's over-reaching and 2. It does nothing to help the real issue.

Sort of. MIMIC made the topic to point out the hypocrisy of GLAAD and HRC not giving NPH shit for saying the word because he's gay, claiming that vested interests created a bit of a contradiction in their usual policies (GLAAD leapt on South Park for that dumbass "taco" episode).

Then there were 50 posts all going "cheeseburger's a slur now??"  when it was banned like four months ago on GAF and we've had at least ten different topics about it before and since. I can understand new members, but these were regulars acting all shocked and appalled.
