I have no problem with Membles, even though he clearly did not create the term "sexposition" yet gets credit for it throughout the blogosphere. I'm more annoyed with the enormous hijack of the GoT thread over sexposition debates. I've been a critic of the sex on the show since S1, and have made more than a couple posts on the subject this season. But the recent 2-3 page derail on the topic was uncalled for and repetitive. Both sides aren't going to agree anytime soon, let it go.

For me the point of a debate is to find out what information someone bases their conclusion on. You find that, read what they knew that you didnt know, fill them in on the information you have they didnt know about and at the end of that if you both have access to the same information and draw different conclusions, you just have to shrug and move along because people do not interpret things the same.

Trying to put your interpretation over as the only logical conclusion is for me the antithesis of a healthy/fun debate

EDIT: If that persons interpretation was interesting or different enough from the norm I'd try and find out what conditions/factors made them come to that conclusion though. But this would be an aside from the main debate. I find discovering how others think is very interesting to me.

Every time I go into that thread there is some debate over whether or not there was too much sex or nudity in any given episode, then I remember the demographic talking in the thread and fuck right off again.

In all fairness, the "sexposition" debate is taking over lots of GoT discussions all over the internet, by fans and critics alike. I've never seen an episode or visited the GAF thread but I still hear a lot about the show's sex /nudity and their relevancy.
