OP fucked up and should have been more informative in the OP but it is quite unsettling how few people realize how much bigotry and rape/molestation goes on in that organization just because their experience was good. Hell I didn't even add my employer to my FB info until a few of my coworkers on there noted that I worked with them via some goofy networky aspect of the site and I confirmed it. Should add my second job at some point I guess but am in absolutely no hurry to do so.

KOTOR's ending is literally just a typical Star Wars parade.

Jade Ending's empire was a FUCKING PARAGRAPH. You beat the game and you get this text with a cute splash background, and they lived happily ever after.

Valve doesn't really "buy competition". Instead, they hire people who make good mods and concepts (Narbacular Drop, Team Fortress, DotA) and polish the hell out of them.

yeah, two things GoG has over Steam are game compatibility and drm free installation.

Steam is best of breed for its kind of service, but the program itself is the drm. What gets me to go with Steam over GoG for newer games are the features (cloud saving, achievements, automatic updater, etc.) For older games like Thief 1&2 I'd rather go with GoG.

I don't think Steam is overrated, though. There's that story recently about vastly improved sales for some indie game once it hit Steam. A lot of people treat it as the only PC platform because of how convenient it is. And Valve manages it really well.
