Also due to him being a shut-in during formative years he is going to be incredibly awkward with other human beings, thus limiting his job potential. tourism in turkey is usually with regards to western turkey. as you go further east people understand less english/german, have squat toilets, etc.

Turkey is pretty sketchy from what I've been told despite the high tourism. You basically have to watch yourself better there than other countries but honestly, regardless of the obvious fact that I'm a woman, I wouldn't be hitting up certain clubs alone as a tourist.

Part of it is, half of Istanbul is in Europe . And Turkey is a hugely popular tourist destination, tons of people go there every year.

Stuff like this could happy anywhere on the world. A somehwat "higher class" brothel here in germany recently got into a huge scandal when guests were drugged and then huge sums were taken from their debit cards.

Turkey was one of my favorite countries to visit. I went to Istanbul and Cappadoccia last year and had an amazing time.

I hit up a few bars in Istanbul and was just fine. Honestly, once you've traveled a bit, you can usually see those scams coming a mile away. I deflected more than a few scam attempts in places like China, India, Egypt, and Southeast Asia.

You have to make sure you're clear on prices, and it helps to research the bars or clubs that you're going to visit. I usually do a quick check on wikitravel.org to see if there are any places they recommend and any places that they warn people about.

Cappadoccia looks amazing, and I love the architecture in Istanbul. My cousin lived in Turkey for a few years, too bad I never got a chance to visit her when she was over there...

The comparison is made because many black people are homophobic. People make a comparison between civil rights movement and gay rights because denying gays rights and respect while being black is among the biggest form of cognitive dissonance imaginable.

It's a little bit more complicated because of the religious bias against gay marriage though.
