Yeah. Personally, I'm not really all that interested in really delving into whether or not something nefarious went on. However, it does strike me as daft to advertise those purchases in that fashion. Even if every cent of the donations went where they were supposed to go and he was operating entirely in good faith, it seems like something should have triggered that this may not appear kosher.

It actually amuses me on some level that this guy was a moderator. I don't even know how people can defend him. I'm not saying he spent the drive money on drugs, since who knows but the whole thing just reeks of shady shit. I'd feel embarrassed if I donated.

I believe that actual picture was posted in the Kickstarter gaming thread. The background is that Kagari had a kickstarter asking for something like $80,000 to explore the wreck of the Titanic. She was going to produce a book or something, and there was a thread on GAF promoting it. It was only up for an hour or so before it got deleted, but there were a few backers during that time. Among them was Bepbo who kicked in like $100.

It's not really either. It mixes the two but it's its own offshoot. It's more an SRPG than other SMT titles.
