My read on him is that a lot of that is genuine enthusiasm for Nintendo, but he is self-aware and plays up his image for the laughs.

Gahiggidy was once very sincere about being a huge Nintendo fan (about a decade ago) but he became self aware and plays up his image I think to poke fun at how insane Nintendo fans were getting around the time of the Revolution being unveiled.  I don't see why he would be a shared account.  He's self aware but not to the point of being hollow and being ingratiating like the Nintards of today who are all like "Nintendo is doooooomed.  Wii U specs suck " as a way of minimizing and downplaying legitimate criticism.
