yeah, is all the actual gameplay talk in the community forum these days?   i feel like it's all news/industry talk in the main forum these days.  I go to fucking gamefaqs for gameplay talk.

To speak for the Halo shit, yes. The OTs in Gaming Side are always awash of fucking stupidity even if they do talk about gameplay. Everyone wants some carrot on a stick CoD clone.

You'll also get less kiss assing in the community threads. Of course since people found out we had devs in ours every once and a while some brown nosing little shit comes in to tell us how to post.

Oh god where to start. Well basically they decided to take Reach a step further and not only have paper, rock, scissors nonsense with loadouts but they gimped shit you could do in previous games in order for you to select them as various personalized options. For instance you cannot pick up nades anymore, you have to pick "resupply" or whatever the fuck it's called in the menu to be able to do so. They also added flinch (you get shot it's harder to fire back), random weapon drops (ordinances), personal weapon drops (for when you hit a certain amount of kills or whatever) and shit like camo isn't a pick up on the map. I basically stopped playing after dealing with a team full of camo snipers.

Oh and there is promethean vision which gives you the ability to see through walls and instant respawns with slow shield recharges. So basically people can just respawn on top of your ass after a battle, dash over to you and take vengeance.

I thought the single-player campaign was amazing, but I haven't gone online with it yet. I still think the reason Bungie or 343 have never just given us Halo CE online multiplayer is that that's all anyone would ever play if they did. Every change they've made to Halo CE multiplayer, IMO, has just made things worse. I laughed my ass off when I read that Halo CE Anniversary used the Reach multiplayer component.

They wanted more personalized stuff this time around. Me thinks they don't realize what made Halo special in regards to other FPSes.

Yeah, I have no interest in leveling up to gain perks or whatever. I play Halo for pure skill against skill with any and everything on the map at my disposal. If I want to customize a character, I'll play Diablo.

Don't worry at the start you get 3 loadout customizations (you have to unlock 2) so depending on which kinds of fucks you're playing you can pick a different one after you die!

I like Halo 4 (the multiplayer, anyway). I hate the horrible UI (like the stupid player cards they use during match-making) and the campaign. Maybe I like Halo 4 so much because of how much I hated Reach. It was for opposite reasons: I loved the campaign, hated multiplayer. Armor locking? WTF. Once I got the achievements, I shelved that game permanently.

Halo 4 IS a lot like COD these days (I don't play it, I just watch my brother). But you get used to it; Reach was basically the prelude to all of this. Once you get all of the customizations, it's pretty fun.

Halo 3 was perfect though. None of the nonsense.....just good ol' fashioned killing

I just tried out an iPhone for the first time, and wow it was the most non user-friendly device ever.
Oh, look, there's a wifi icon on the top of the screen, well, let's swipe it down and see what network I'm connected to.

"Nope. Of course it's not that obvious", the phone says.

Instead, I have to click on a "Settings"-icon, and navigate my way to Wifi settings.

Total bullshit that an iDevice would somehow be easier to get into than, say, a Google Nexus. I let the owner of said iPhone play with my Galaxy Nexus, and she was amazed by how smooth and high-tech of a phone it was (the panorama feature was particularly impressive, as well as the way Android spotify was laid out in comparison to the iOS version). This holds true across the board from my short and unpleasant experience with the offending "smart"-phone - in comparison to Android the iPhone OS looks like something out of 2005.

It just baffles me that Apple products being more user friendly is such a widespread sentiment.
