SR1 had one. They didn't want one in SR2/3 because they make such great npc ped dialogue and an mp3 player would ruin it.

Also, the last part of the Killbane ending is Saints Row as fuck, but at the same time, the overall ending isn't not Saints Row as fuck.

you still took control of Steelport, and its now your city state with Pierce as mayor but Shaundi and Viola and BURT FUCKING REYNOLDS are still alive and the game brings this up but everyone just shrugs it off as a necessary retcon

I still think that "choices" are gay. Why doesn't the boss just have someone else in the crew do the rescue/take on Killbane? It makes no sense. The Boss always needs things his/her way. Making a choice is fucking stupid. Fuck choices in sandbox games. I WANT IT ALL.

The classical station in SR3 is great though! I love flying my VTOL or driving away from the scene of a crime while my homie is firing out the car listening to Ride of the Valkyries.

The 90s channel was neat because it's stuff I recognized from growing up, the electronic station has some good stuff, and the modern music was nice because it introduced me to stuff modern bands I'd never heard of. Picked up the Dragonette album after hearing this in my crib all the time:

what I liked about the SR1 classical lineup was that it wasn't all the "big" compositions, and had a lot of relaxing pieces by people like Bach and Chopin. Was great to make a chill out classical playlist while collectible hunting.

Alright, did the other ending. Wasn't much better. Final stage was better and boss fight, while sucky, was definitely less sucky than the good ending final boss. The ending cutscene was nice. But the Killbane bit at the airport was lame and the ending was pretty unsatisfying and a bit depressing. Bad ending seems canon though with all its HEAVY SPEECHES (killbane) and WAS IT WORTH IT and then the final cutscene bit. Great game, weak ending(s).

This time I did the final mission driving around in a Tank with Nightblayde homie riding the turret. That was fun.

And why can't I adjust the height of my character? For a female my character was a GIANT, especially in heels. But there's no height option in build as far as I could see. I'm guessing they did that to make the clothing fit better? But then they still let you make skinny/fat, so it seems weird.

Oh and this game needs 2 mods: 1) Remove lvl.50 cap and maybe add some new abilities for post-50, and 2) NEW GAME+; I'd love to replay the game again with my upgraded boss and do choices the other way to complete my item collection, but not being able to replay story missions is laaaaaame. Now all I can do is drive around and do grind challenges if I want, zzz.

People talk about the whacky and crazy in SR series, but the series has a lot of emotional moments.

SR3 is barely serious at all. The "Boss" for 95% of the game is a nice guy/girl superhero. The Boss in SR3's story treasures his/her "crew" and goes out of their way to save them as they're like a family to them. So then suddenly at the end bailing on one and 5 mins later getting a WAS IT WORTH IT speech felt like a lame attempt at character growth out of nowhere and not very poignant. If the ending had been a mix of both and you go to the statute, save your crew and then go to the fortress in the sky and then give your speech on tv it'd be totally in line with the character and story. Splitting up the ending like that just made both weaker.

Honestly the most ANTI-HERO the boss ever is in the entire game is the mission before murderbrawl where you take control of the vehicles that the tournament fighters are in and have them murder civilians and then explode. That was fucked up and was weird because it was the ONLY part of the game that was fucked up. Was funny and enjoyable if you don't take it seriously though!

It is most likely the interaction between your character model and all the other characters in the game. Not just for the minimal cutscenes, but every time you take a Human Shield in front of you, and have to navigate while holding them. Then there's melee fighting, etc.

Yeah, Mayhem is annoying and even Insurance Fraud because EVERYONE DISAPPEARS (including cars). I guess it was a performance thing, but they really need to increase the density of foot/car traffic. I mean when you're running around in mayhem, it's like GHOST TOWN outside of gangs/police and you really have to search just to find some parked cars.

It means you have to learn the best way to do it.

In mayhem most of your money is coming from not cars or people but stuff like fences and street lights and garbage. So traffic and people are irrelevant and only good for stringing combos.

In insurance fraud it would be too easy if regular traffic were going, so you have to find the best place to get hit by exploring the area. This is usually a highway or a really busy street.

Heh, I did all the mayhem just using parked cars and gang/police cars coming after me. For some reason grenades got really high multipliers whereas rockets didn't so I just kept chucking grenades while running backwards.

The writing in Gangstas in Space was so much better. The achievements were super easy, though. I did miss one of the 6 collectables. Thankfully I didn't save over my existing save so I'll go back and get that tonight. I just hate how you don't unlock the laser weapons in the main game.

On the second mission where you go into the studio, make sure you look high and low for all the missing clap boards. I only found 5. If you make it to the room where the space ship is at you're about to end the mission.

If you miss it just make a new save after that, that's what I did. I'm going back to my previous save this weekend to find it. They were all pretty obvious so I'm sure it shouldn't be too hard to locate it.

I saw the Art Director's speech at GDC today; it was really interesting to hear about their processes, even though I didn't agree with some of their choices. Seeing side-by-side shots of SR2 and SR3 really emphasize the differences though; no matter how you slice it, it's an incredible improvement.

it's even cheaper to just buy the Season Pass at this point, since all the story DLC costs more than 1600 points combined.

It's three missions long...you get awesome super powers in the last mission, letting you run a super speed, throw fireballs, and melee produces a 60's Batman-style sound effect and "BAM!!" comic effects...but once the mission is over, that's it.

I'm not sure if any of the dlc is worth getting which is why I've been waiting. SR2 dlc was entirely forgettable and didn't add to the SR2 experience in any way. It appears SR3's dlc is the same?

This is the last of the seasons pass DLC. I didn't even realize it came out today. Going to have to download it tomorrow and play.

Whatever happened to Volition teasing that they had at least 40 weeks of DLC coming for the game?
