GundamInfo is putting up the Narrative theatrical film for free on YouTube March 13-16 if anyone wants to watch it. I missed the one night screening here in the US last year due to a work event so I'm definitely taking advtange of it.

Don’t think I ever shared this from our 2018 Japan trip. Couldn't get the kid to do it with me.

Seconded. The author's newest manga is even more fucked up, BTW- it's about a porn star who can become a naked giant and she fights (what else) alien invaders trying to destroy everything.

The SAC movie was alright. Not as good as either season, I thought, and the ending kinda felt off, but it was still better than Arise.

SAC and 2nd GIG are absolutely fantastic. Still got my DVDs of the seasons and also the Blu-ray compilation films for each season as well as the Solid State Society Blu-ray.

I really hope the new Netflix series ends up being good since it's using the SAC moniker.

Oh, man, tell me about it. And literally all the backstory being told during the quiz show filler episode

Some of it was good in an epic trek kind of way... but I felt so fucking blue balled when they got to the city and had to go right back home. Great anime regardless. Plus I like slow paced things, helps me relax even when the show is super serious. ...Maybe I should rewatch Mushishi

The first Mardock Scramble movie is pretty good. 2 and 3 are kinda wack because the latter half of 2 and first half of 3 is a card game at a casino, and it really drags.

Is the tone of Cop Craft as silly as that op?

Feels like so much modern seinen is over the top. I guess the super serious shit of old is more of a financial risk. Doesn't feel like seinen anymore, though. 10 years ago you likely wouldn't categorize something like seinen but here we are.

I didn't keep watching but new BoTi was good. Much better than the one they did a decade or so ago. It's heavily stylized which is a good thing. I mean mainly in terms of editing. They make what seems like a small budget work.
