Used 3G Vitas are going for less than the Wifi Vitas here for some reason. You can get one for like $160 right now. I sure hope Sony's not fooling themselves about that 4G Vita having any effect at all. On the plus side, it might push down used prices for the 3G even more. If it gets to $120, I'll grab one.
I think microsoft is seriously overestimating how much people want a media machine. If you already have something that streams netflix (basicly any device now) you dont need something else. Not to mention none of this is even slightly relevant outside of the us.I doubt kinect 2 will win europe and japan over.

There are rumours this morning that Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us may have had its release date pushed back to June 18th, six weeks from the previously confirmed May 7th release date. The rumours started after US retailer Best Buy sent out an email to customers who pre-ordered The Last Of Us, informing them that the game had been pushed back to June 18th.
God of War 2 and FF12 were both released after PS3 has hit the market and they still moved good amounts according to Oscar data IIRC.
You guyz are such downers. Give into the excitement of new consoles. There will be plenty to bitch about later
TLOU has massive hype coming from the Uncharted fanboys and is releasing when The Walking Dead is a hot TV series. It's not sent to die like Gears of War: LOLment.Try again, maxboxy.

The new Batman Arkham game coming out this year will not be done by RocksteadyI take that as positive news meaning Rocksteady might be working on a next gen game instead

Edit: actually, the HDMI out has me a bit skepticalPatent reveals 4G Vita, some places have details. a significant firmware update will go live bringing in a lot of requested features including new ways to organize apps in folders. A price cut on memory cards will be made. No details on prices.

"The reality is, is that fiscal year 2014 will still be a fairly large gen-three if there's a console business that comes in at the tail end of the year, mainly because a lot of our titles are built around sports calendars. And so a FIFA, a Madden, an NCAA, an NHL title, all come out aligned with the sports calendar. And if a next-gen console doesn't come out until next Christmas, most people won't wait. They'll want to be involved in getting those titles early, because their friends are all playing those titles, and because they're being played on a current generation's consoles."An important thing to remember is that next-gen consoles will most likely not be backwards compatible… And if you [play] multiplayer on a game, you'll most likely not be able to play with someone on a different generation. And so if you're a FIFA player and, and the soccer season's starting in August, and all your friends are playing FIFA, you're going to want to be on the same box that they're on. So if they all go out and buy a gen-four box if it comes out at Christmas, then you'll most likely do it. If they all hold on and continue to play on third-generation, you'll probably not see that box purchase until after the soccer season's over."And I think that works for us positively in both ways. It helps us continue to sell gen-three products, and it will help us sell gen-four product as that cycle finally gets into place."

http://www.vg247.com/2013/02/12/gamestop-60-of-customers-wont-buy-a-new-console-that-blocks-used-games/
Lloyd said it has conducted research into the used game trade and has shared the results with platform holders.. . . “I think it was 60% of customers who said they wouldn't buy a new console [if it blocks used games]"
No retail BC is so soNo Live BC is just plain wrong.MS is playing with fire.
It's the opposite for me. Emulating a different CPU architecture isn't easy. Not blocking used games, on the other hand, requires no effort at all.
I do not want to keep my 360 hooked up once I get a new console but there are a lot of 360 games I would still like to play when the new console comes out. It sucks on a rights level about the used game stuff but based on my actual real life buying practices it doesn't actually effect me. Although I understand people have different priorities.
I dont care bout retail BC cause I sell that shit anyway. But no Live/PSN bc is Between Steam and the app store people expect this. Its one of the things I demand if I'm not able to resell, access to what I bought.
I never, ever cared about BC but I can see it as a anti-consumer move from both camps. It's just something console owners take for granted that new console is always somewhat BC with the last one.

BC is a tiny issue for me.
How many people really use the BC feature anyway? How about past the first year after the console has been out?

A VG247 source has seemingly confirmed that the PS4 controller will include a front touch-pad, speaking a week before the console’s expected reveal in New York.A VG247 source said today that PS4′s rumoured controller touch-pad is real. The input is on the front of the handset. The Start and Select buttons have been moved as a result. The controller is “more or less” the same shape as the current DualShock. We’ve been told today that the L2 and R2 buttons have been remodelled for the better. The existence of the touch-pad has been previously reported by Edge, but claims a “Share” button exists on the controller from the same report were debunked by our source today. Apparently it isn’t there.

It's PS4. It's been PS4 for a long time now.
I don't know, but I know it's been in development on Orbis for a long time now. It's platform has been questionable for nearly two years, but the last time it was restarted (it's been restarted a number of times), it was moved to Orbis.
