Thinking about picking these up in June or so- right now I have the PLAIN OL STOCK WHEELZ

http://www.americanmuscle.com/black-gt500-18x10-0510.html

I'd rather have a matte finish though- but all the matte ones ive seen aren't split spoke- which looks better imo cause it doesnt look shitty

Are there colored wheels for your car?  Red would be pretty cool if you don't mind being too flashy.

What about getting your rims and painting your calipers like a glossy red?  I always thought it looked nice but not too flashy.  Painted calipers are sexy and done cheap as hell.

Drilled/slotted rotors look very nice and sexy with red calipers.  It's also a fairly practical upgrade in that its benefit isn't strictly related to style/power.  Better braking is never a bad thing.

So, what's the full roll call of The Bore's Badass Car Club?

Mups has to be the founding father with his C6 corvette and Mustang
Smooth Groove: Z4 (used to drive a G37?)
MAF: badass Mustang
Me: Gen Coupe
Bebpo: S2000
The Business:  some sort of Bimmer, right?

No more Mustang for me.  I traded it for an '81 C3 Corvette.  I've kinda stalled on the project for the last few months but I rebuilt the engine and I'm hoping to drop a whole new body on the frame soon and make it look like this...

The body and interior are fairly fucked but luckily parts are cheap and if I do the labor myself I can have it back to stock for only a few grand.  The engine rebuild was the most expensive and time consuming part.

I kind of want a challenger with a stick.

I love the look of the challenger- even more retro than the mustang- I heard mustangs going away from retro in 2014- which will give me a sad...honestly though even the 2013 isn't exactly what I want from a car. way too many gadgets inside and that kills the whole muscle car thing in my eyes.

Hell no.  The gadgets make 'em even more awesome.  The HUD on the Corvette is fucking godly.

Tells you right on the windshield your speed, RPM's, how many G's you're currently pulling on a turn or even what song is playing.

My first car ever was a Nissan pickup '89 that my dad bought me in '99 for $2k. It was 4 months prior to my driver license test, iirc.

He told me that you can never call yourself a driver without ever owning a car with a roll-up manual windows, no a/c, and a stick transmission. And even though I loathed that piece of junk at the time, I don't regret it today. The car is still kicking today in my dad's farm.

I still have a G37.  I don't drive it much now because there's a big old dent on the side.  Lease is ending pretty soon and I'm thinking of leasing a M56 when it does.    430HP for $60,000 is a great deal.  Also, the M's interior is pretty boss.

what's your definition of complicated?  A lot of this stuff can be done with basic socket wrenches and screwdrivers.

If you're really set on having someone else do it then I'd ask around on some Mustang forums for a reputable shop that knows the new 5.0.  Or you can go to a dealership.  Sometimes dealerships are a gamble too but you should be able to find reviews on Mustang forums.

What kind of work were looking to have done?

The headlights apparently taking a bit of the front end off and they recommend raising the front end so its easier to even do that. Plus lol no experience.

These are the things im looking into for late summer (not from this site in particular- just easy reference):

http://www.americanmuscle.com/headlight-black-proj-2010.html - new headlights (have you seen fogs with the same light color?)
http://static.zoovy.com/img/stage3motorsports/W400-H300-Bffffff/1/100261.jpg (something like those)
http://www.americanmuscle.com/matte-forgestarcf5-1112.html - new alloy wheels- something like this- but id prefer split spokes to make the red calipers a little more discrete
http://www.americanmuscle.com/mustang-quarterlouvers-0509-black.html (undecided on color really)
http://www.americanmuscle.com/shr-black-fueldoor-2010.html (replacing the boring ol flap- going black to match the wheels)
http://www.americanmuscle.com/painted-boss-rearspoiler-1012.html (nice discrete boss 302 style spoiler)

I dont really like any of the rear window louvers ive seen- im basically trying to dress up the car but  keep it understated and not covered in dumbass logos n stripes and shit sticking out all over

So, I bought a 2000 Subaru Forester L from a friend, and it's got 150K miles on it. It is an AWD, but is surprisingly gutless.

Is there anything I can to do make it less gutless? I mean, is there anything I can do in the face of the previous owner's lack of attention and maintenance to revitalize it?

http://www.edmunds.com/subaru/forester/2000/#fullreview

Im not super car guy- but that last bit sums it up I think:

While we are partial to the Impreza Outback Sport and Legacy Outback models, the Forester will attract buyers who want an inexpensive, functional, all-wheel-drive vehicle that looks like a truck and drives like a car.

2000 focus for example has a 2.0L 4cyl, forester has a 2.5L 4cyl

If I had been willing/able to put off buying a car until summer this year, the BRZ probably would have been neck and neck with the Genesis for me.

You know, some of them, properly modified, look pretty sweet.  A Customs Intel guy who worked with us had one that he had done some work on, and it looks pretty badass.  But they don't hold a candle to the current generation, that's for sure.

For this kind of stuff (strictly cosmetic) I'd go to the dealerships.  They'll be the most knowledgeable and if anything gets fucked up you'll have less of a hassle.  Plus since it will be just labor it shouldn't be that bad.
