Haven't seen him in a scene yet but I'm skeptical. I'm fine with him being aged up, but I had always pictured him being more charismatic and rogue-ish. Basically like a smaller Dominic West. This is a guy who is on one hand a killer but on the other hand a romantic character. Hinds looks more like a darker Tywin Lannister to me.

It can definitely work. Hinds is a great actor. My only question is how content he'll be with the role. He has already criticized the show's violence and sex, and I'm wondering how he'll feel about

Almost makes me wonder if they're pre-planning deviations from the books. Hind's is a great actor but thinking ahead for Mance's ADwD storyline he simply doesn't fit.

I'd imagine it could be hard to sell a lot of actors on them having significantly reduced roles down the line. Many characters have one book where they're in multiple chapters, then disappear or see their fortunes changed for the worse later. I'd be curious to learn how they sold the show to Hinds and got him to agree (outside of the money).

Same with Gillen (Littlefinger). He's a great television actor and I feel like he's been wasted on this show. I dunno what he's doing, changing his accent with every line, and of course the Ros shit makes it even worse. sigh

The cut he had in the trailer made him look like a crazy bitter old person. I guess it could work but I prefer the books Mance.

I'm guessing he is gonna have some scenes with the main characters at the wall in season 4 and then if they combine dance and feast into two or three seasons like I'm thinking they'll do then they will probably move up the Abel story line to season 5.

Looks like Melisandre with Thoros. I'm guessing the show is replacing Edric Storm's role with Gendry, so Stannis will be trying to capture him for the sacrifice. If so that's a change I would welcome - it could be very interesting. There's another scene in the trailer where it seems like Melisandre is about to leave on a ship, and Stannis hugs her. So yea, I'm guessing she takes some soldiers and finds Arya/Gendry/Hound/Thoros.

I don't like Robb, I love Robb. I just found myself identifying with him early, and cheering for him. Maybe it's the big brother connection, plus the almost mythic way he is seen in the North. S2 had many problems and I didn't like what they did with Arya, BUT this sums up my Robb fanboyism
