There have always been shills and viral marketers on GAF. Hunting the Xbone ones down feeds into GAF's fantasy of being special and important.

The unfortunate part is that companies keep giving GAF importance by being bewildered by something rather common. I talked to someone involved with the Xbox 'family'.  They were asking me questions about GAF, so I wondered why he cared. He said that companies keep on the lookout for GAF because of the leaks there. I'm like.. its just another news aggregate, but companies freak out because of a handful of leaks. The thing is if it didn't leak on GAF then it just leaks somewhere else. If they wanted to neuter GAF then they'd be better off ignoring it.

Pacther seems to be the only guy playing GAF for his own gain. The rest are chumps giving a bratty child the attention it wants.

You're right, it's becoming a witch hunt now and until Bish leads on his inside information people that are pro-X-box DRM should probably zip their lips about it if they want to keep their account right now.

Some juniors are just getting banned as part of the regular junior cull.  GAF has so many members, mods are kind of encouraged to play whack-a-mole with juniors that show even the slightest sign of idiocy.

Well, yes. But posting in X-box threads saying "maybe the new DRM won't be so bad..." is pretty much a ban hammer right now as "viral marketing." The whack-a-mole is more like witch-hunt-a-mole.

Hopefully Microsoft can go full steam ahead and jump the console track as soon as possible. While I loved the first Xbox I have no real need for them in this console race anymore. Either Nintendo gets their shit together or...uh...doesn't. Either way I hope a new contender enters the race. This industry needs new blood.

The people are assuming it's a witch hunt.  But it goes like this. 

If you are defending Xbone, you are either:

A) A paid shill, banned

B) An idiot, banned

You guys should pay more attention to junior culls over there, especially the one right before e3 every year.  It's hunting season, every time.

I don't disagree with your A/B. But I'm getting at is that right now on GAF having an opinion that isn't the same as the "hivemind" puts you on the chopping block for scrutiny of being a viral. That doesn't exactly sit right with me. Let them debate with the rest of GAF, prove they're B fully and then ban them that way. As it is right now Bish is all "oh, you're supporting MS? Paid for. *ban*"

Maybe I've just never paid attention to the junior culls because they happen in non-E3 threads or threads I don't really wander into so maybe you're right it's "business as usual" for GAF and the new batch of juniors but it doesn't sit right that saying you think some of the X-box's policies gets you an insta-ban to me. (and I say that as an anti-X-box DRM person)

I don't smoke weed anymore, and haven't for months. When I did I was always selective with who I smoke with. There's always a group of idiots who'll put on crappy reggae/classic rock/hiphop or whatever and overhyping a dead musician as some sort of messiah.
