That new trailer is awful and like 20 years out of date but I don't see what's so bad looking about the game itself. The art looks a bit rough but the gameplay looks like Megaman with heavier emphases on dashes to me. The stages also look improved from the last footage of this I saw.

Last platformer I played was Shovel Knight and that was a while ago so I'll probably pick this one up.

It's a tactless video, appealing to the manchildren who backed the campaign, or at least the 'tude that was popular when those manchildren were enjoying the game. They definitely could have pushed the retro-lingo to be more self-aware, if it was intended ironically. I think most of the backlash is coming from that slight tone-deafness, combined with MONTHS of mismanaged community expectations.

Apparently PC backers had access to an advanced build of the SP campaign and it was pretty lackluster so there's that too.

The graphs are all from the Wii U version. The video doesn't say anything about the PC specs, but any system from the last five (or more) years should run it well.
