I want to hit Legend someday, but the grind from rank 5 to Legend sounds daunting.

Im gonna try to save up a few k of gold for the xpac. Then do a huge splurge

I play Zoolock and aggro Paly, and priests of almost any kind are the bane of my existence

I can deal with Mages fine if I can beat them before the inevitable Flamestrike(s) comes out, but Priests are just..

Arena is fun as ever though. Going to be doing more of that in the coming days since the new booster pack will replace the current one as a reward once the expansion is out

Coghammer is a beautiful weapon. If you play aggro paladin you have to craft it.

I didn't have much luck with my packs. I had enough gold to buy 13 of them along with the 3 I got for free. No Legendaries, 4 Epics and a bunch of repeats (already!). Only one golden. Luckily, I had about 1400 dust saved up and crafted a bunch of epics and rares that I knew I wanted.

One was that Lil' Exorcist. She's a bad little bitch with all the zoolock and hunters you face.

No, Mage is one of my least favorite classes.

Unstable Portal actually fixes one of my problems with the Mage class. It's early game is so predictable, you are almost forced to play the same damn cards every time. Rogue had a bit of the same problem.

It is pretty stupid how there is no downside to the card.

Opened 26 packs and got 0 legs!

Out of the 26 packs (130 cards) 34 were duplicates already that went straight to disenchant.

:'(

Edit: Next to the 26 packs I saved up for with gold I bought an additional 15 for cash and got 1 leg: Voljin.

1 leg in 41 packs is half of what I should get. Really sucks.

Reached Golden Paladin, but sadly realized that my Paladin deck doesn't work anymore. Too many mech decks are wrecking my old Undertaker/Secrets Pally at rank 9.

Probably going to try a GvG-heavy Warlock deck next.

An iPad Mini fell into my possession lately and playing Hearthstone on it owns a lot.

I have not done as well in Arena since my post about it, though. Averaging 4 wins or so. Still an improvement over my pre-GvG days.

A friend wanted the Fireside Gathering card-backing, so we sat down and tried to work it out on his subnet. We even installed the game and created an account for his wife so we’d have the three friends on a subnet condition met. His wife’s account and mine got the card-backing immediately, then it took another two hours to get his, for some reason.

The only person who really wanted it, and it was glitching.

The game has gotten more fun for me since I've gotten better at Arena. I haven't gotten lower than 3 wins in 9 runs, and I've averaged ~5 wins over my last half-dozen runs. It helps that I've gotten to be Mage or Paladin for a majority of them.

Not only, but I like it more than grinding up the ladder, even if it is random as hell. I got the highest I've ever been in ranked last season, though. Mech Mage got me to 12 (I know, still not good).

Made it to Rank 9 last night with my self made druid ramp deck. In the process of tweaking a bit now since I got smoked back to 10, need something against bum rush decks like hunters and palas. Recomubulator is a great card to heal a minion back to full health after being used, but I switched it for Acidic Swamp Ooze to see how that helps me against hunters and Pala weapons.

This is what I'm running:

Have you tried Unstable Ghoul (1/3 Taunt/Deathrattle: deal 1 damage to all) or Abomination (4/4 Taunt/Deathrattle: deal 2 damage to all)? They would slow down aggressive rush decks and allow you to survive long enough to play those legends.

Was thinking about those but there are some issues with them imho:

-Late game they are useless it seems
-They hurt you as well, opening up yourself for things like execute for your larger minions
-Abomination is 5 mana, thats a lot
-Ghoul is only 1/3 for 3 he might not even kill the minion he is getting smacked by

I was also thinking about Death Lord but that will only hurt me too as it will keep their minion train rolling on

I have a pretty fun deck that is using the Paladin secrets and Mad Scientist

together with deathrattle abuse cards like Kel'Thuzad and Baron Rivendare.

The rest of the deck is filled up with minions with good deathrattle effects e.g. Sludge Belcher and Piloted Shredder. I'm still missing some important legends and a card like Tirion Fordring.

It's very inconsistent, but when I recycle a Sludge Belcher multiple times it will shut down most decks.

I've already added the twins, but I'm missing the other two legends. Harvest Golem is a good early minion that helps slow down fast decks.

Yeah might put in Golems, was also thinking about Pint Sized Summoners which would also help me ramp if they don't get killed. Lil Exorcists might work too.

If you like Deathrattle try making a Shaman deck.

Edit: I checked Hearthpwn and Ramp droods are running Cenarius again. Makes sense! Might put him in tonight for Rag.

You're a control druid, you should be dominating the board to such a degree that giving him back 5 more hps will be irrelevant.

I give you guys credit for coming up with your own decks. I got up to Rank 12 last season and now I'm at it again with a boring Mech Mage (sans Snowchugger because I haven't gotten one from a pack and I'm stubborn and won't spend dust on a common). I think I'll try to come up with my own decks when Blackrock hits. I'll have enough gold saved up to buy a bunch of wings immediately, so that's nice.

I played a few rounds with my Paladin deathrattle deck yesterday and I realized that its biggest issue is that it relies heavily on four cards (Redemption x2, Kel'Thuzad, Baron Rivendare). The Mad Scientists have a reasonable chance to fetch the Redemption secrets. Adding a couple of Annoy-o-Tron should help me survive long enough to get my combo going and I also run Loot Hoarder for early card draw.

After beating my brains in trying to make Zoo work, I've switched to a Priest netdeck I saw on reddit. Some chinese dude ran it to legend.

I've faced that Priest deck a few times and it's quite powerful. I think I might netdeck a warrior deck to help me beat my current quests. It's not my preferred pick in arena mode.

I had the weirdest thing happen in casual last night. I was playing against a secrets Mage. I run my Deathlord into his face (on turn 4), he has the Vaporize secret up. My deathlord dies and no minion hits the board. I sit there stunned and think that it's some kind of bug.

It turned out he had zero minions in his deck! It was all secrets and spells. lol

I lost to double Pyroblast on turns 10 and 11.

The new cards are pretty meh. I'm definitely not as excited as I was before Naxx. I'll still buy it day one though.

I stalled out with my priest at rank 8. Got mad and made a cancerous Paladin deck and zoomed up to rank 6 (my highest ever). I was outpacing Face Hunters and Mech Mages, but felt no joy doing it. This aggro meta is soo stupid.
