The frame rate in Titanfall is uneven on the Xbox One and though it's usually fine, it can get downright nasty in specific situations. In one Last Titan Standing match--where every player spawns in a robot suit--several players crammed their mechs into a tight area and began duking it out, and the frame rate dived down to what must have been single digits per second. Even out in wider areas, the game feels a little hitchy from time to time, and there's noticeable tearing throughout. The visuals in Titanfall look nice, but that's mostly due to some solid art and interesting design, not the performance. As of this writing, I haven't seen enough of the PC version to know how well it runs.

Maybe its map specific.

But I played over 15 hours of the beta on xbox one and the frame rate was always acceptable for me. Far more so than Battlefield 4 where the frame rate hitches all over the place. We'll see tomorrow I guess.

Anybody on PC having a weird yellow texture showing up at times?  I have an ati card so I'm guessing that may have something to do with it as I don't think its intentional.

Not a great mouse and keyboard player but I'd be down to play with any of you guys.

Game works fine with the controller on PC, but I wanna finally get comfortable with m+kb so that's how I'll be playing.

My Origin is Ji3eezy.

While you were busy running along walls and throwing missiles back at your opponents during the Titanfall beta, countless data centers across the world were making sure that each AI-controlled Titan bodyguard had your back. Much of the frenetic action in Respawn Entertainment's debut game rests on one thing: Microsoft's Azure cloud infrastructure.

Up until last November, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella's baby was mostly used for business applications, like virtualization and acting as an enterprise-level email host. With the Xbox One, though, the company opened up its global server farms to game developers, giving them access to more computing power than could reasonably be stuffed into a $500 game console. Since the Xbox One's debut, Microsoft has been crowing about how Azure would let designers create gaming experiences players have never seen before. Now it's time for the product to speak for itself.

With Tuesday's release of the online-multiplayer-only Titanfall, Redmond's gamble takes center stage. Players are no doubt concerned about the game's stability at launch. With one look at the problems that plagued Diablo III, SimCity and Battlefield 4, consumer skepticism is easy to understand. The folks behind Titanfall believe they've got a not-so-secret weapon to circumvent the foibles those games endured, or are still enduring, in Microsoft's server infrastructure. It's been in place and running pretty successfully since 2011.

Respawn engineer Jon Shiring says that since the beta ended, some skeptical devs have already changed their minds about the feasibility of using Azure for the parts of a game traditionally handled by a user's console or PC. In Titanfall's case, that largely includes artificial-intelligence-powered teammates.
Quote
Because Titanfall's advanced AI is handled by the Azure servers, your Xbox's or PC's innards can be used to achieve more detailed graphics and the game's silky-smooth frame rate. The Titan bodyguards, dropships and legions of AI-controlled combatants are essentially free from a processing-power standpoint. Without Redmond's cloud, it's highly likely that Titanfall's six-versus-six player limit would be painfully apparent. Since these features live on remote servers, though, making sure they seamlessly appear in-game is paramount.

That's the thing. It didn't happen for me in the beta either. And it doesn't happen every map or every game. It's weird. I'll test it out again tomorrow to see if I can capture it on footage.

Also I added anybody who sent me a friend request on origin.

My favorite minor moment of the night was the first time I came upon a zipline.

So very true. I know BF 4 has a lot more going on that will drag down the performance but still its nice to have a responsive quick and smooth shooter to play along side it.

Mups and I played for almost 3 hours last night.

I fucking love this game. I could never get in to shit like COD or BF, but the movement of this game, the addition of the Titans, make its so much fun.

I got so excited every time I'd jump up on an enemy titan and take it down with my carbine.

woot woot.  we were kicking ass.  Tonight we should go through militia.  I'm only missing one win from the IMC campaign.  I don't know which one it is either.  Goddammit.

PC, yeah. I was running the beta at 1080, plenty of AA and everything other than textures on max, very few drops. Now I get crazy slow down even at 720 (although rare) and 1080 goes up to 50fps at most with crashes down to the teens. Fuck this.

I wonder though if it has to do with server load? I wouldn't normally link framerate dips to network issues, but then I played Need for Speed Rivals.  :'(

Anyway, crazy fun game when it works, but it's not the lightning in a bottle that COD4 was.

On console at least, its amazing honestly how many people are terribad at this game. I imagine most of the audience came over from COD like I did but a lot of the skills don't transfer over or get changed because of Titans. It's hilarious to me.

Also on console I've made the switch from default controls to bumper jumper pilot. It allows me to retain my jumping skills and still aim at the same time with the right stick which is very useful in pilot combat.

Doing pretty well these days, usually in the top 3.

Almost done 50 wins on each campaign map.
I'm loving the burst rifle with the counterweight.

improves accuracy while moving.  The CAR with the run n gun kit and a counter weight is my perfect balance now.  I can friggin dominate with that setup.

Who doesn't? That shit is boss. At the beginning of a domination match I separated from my team and ran straight to the enemy's base across the match. Captured it and ran around in there with the shotgun protecting it by myself. Racked up 9 kills with the shotgun before two of them managed to finally jump me. :lol

And so the beta ends for me.

Xbox One stats.

92 games played.
71 games won.
Win percent:77%
Times MVP:26
Times Top 3:72

Fun times.

Thought I would take a look at my current stats now that the game is out to get a basis of comparison.

Xbox One stats.

104 games played.
89 games won.
Win percent: 86%
Times MVP:28
Times Top 3:78

You can so dominate when you play with a full party that is communicating.
