Still good news. Pretty amazing a 40+-year-old tank outmatches anything Russia has dared put on the battlefield.

2023: ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Give tanks ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

That was always a very shallow take on Reddit or Twitter or wherever. Tanks have never been invincible and while they are likely more vulnerable than before their weakness were exacerbated by Russia's bad planning and training.

Like how many of those videos were of tanks driving around alone unsupported or doing stupid stuff like sitting in the open shooting until they got destroyed by return fire. Or even just abandoned because they ran out of fuel lol.

Al Arabiya claims Israel has started a special military operation to disarm Iran. While others say this is a response to the attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran.

Some even point to Ukraine as Iran supplies Russia with drones and missiles.

Dear Nadhim,

When I became Prime Minister last year, I pledged that the Government I lead would have integrity, professionalism and accountability at every level. That is why, following new information which came to light in recent days regarding your personal financial arrangements and declarations, I asked Sir Laurie Magnus, the Independent Adviser on Ministers' Interests, to fully investigate this matter. You agreed and undertook to cooperate fully with the inquiry Following the completion of the Independent Adviser's investigation - the findings of which he has shared with us both - it is clear that there has been a serious breach of the Ministerial Code. As a result, I have informed you of my decision to remove you from your position in His Majesty's Government. As you leave, you should be extremely proud of your wide-ranging achievements in government over the last five years. In particular, your successful oversight of the COVID-19 vaccine procurement and deployment programme which ensured the United Kingdom was at the forefront of the global response to the coronavirus pandemic. Your role was critical to ensuring our country came through this crisis and saved many lives. And as the Conservative Party Chairman, you have undertaken significant restructuring to Conservative Campaign Headquarters and readied us for important work in the coming months. It is also with pride that I, and previous prime ministers, have been able to draw upon the services of a Kurdish-born Iraqi refugee at the highest levels of the UK government. That is something which people up and down this country have rightly valued. I know I will be able to count on your support from the backbenches as you continue to passionately and determinedly serve your constituents of Stratford-on-Avon and represent the many issues and campaigns you are dedicated to. Thank you for your service to this and previous governments. Yours sincerely,

Rishi Sunak

Up next: Rishi sacks himself for his history of history of dodgy tax shit, of course.

They've got this wrong. It's not the Chinese doing the buying from the Dutch, that's nonsense.
If the Chinese wanted to do this they could just source chips from elsewhere in Asia to sell to Russia.

It's the Dutch companies that are using Chinese companies as intermediaries so they can keep selling to the Russians.

Don't worry, after the cookie wall and privacy policy are accepted all you have to do is pass the AGE GATE on literally every website with an editable textfield.  :rage
Age verification will be very simple, just upload your photo ID and/or driver's license to every damn website.  :lol

This is already an ongoing debate, because in Germany they have decided that an IP address is personal information and thus the GDPR applies.
Which means that cookie walls and privacy policies are needed when using services like Google Fonts and the likes or having hyperlinks because an IP address is shared.

This also means that what most US-only sites are doing (blocking IP's) to evade the GDPR is also illegal. Because you need to check the users IP address to do so.
Just the act of checking the IP is already using the personal data and thus ILLEGAL.  :lol

lol get fucked
Saw about this law elsewhere and thought it sounded great, finally get all these anti-free-speech Europeans off the internet so only the anti-free-speech Americans vex me with their desires to throw everyone in prison.

But seriously, you know it's a great law when:
Quote
To define a software application store the law makes a reference to the EU Digital Markets Act, Article 2, point 12 which defines “virtual assistant”. What they actually mean is point 14, which does define “software application store”.

Of course there will need to be age restrictions as well. Nobody under the age of 14 or over the age of 75 will qualify for an Internet license. The very young need to develop their personalities, and exposure to the solitary net-surfing experience could severely stunt their mental and social development leading to autism or extremely violent behavior (or at the very least, social ineptitude, whilst the very old would be at risk of heart seizures and other complications caused by some of the more extreme content that is to be found on the Internet.

Enforcement of the Internet license may also prove to be problematic. However it needn't be so. A minor reworking of the TCP/IP protocol stack to include a license verification phase as part of the three way handshake, combined with strong encryption and digital signatures, and biometric scanning devices attached to every PC should make it trivial to ensure that the net is free from unlicensed surfers. Combine this with the threat of having your Internet license revoked for misbehaviour and you have a very powerful mechanism to control misuse of the 'net.

In the same way that posession of motor vehicle drivers license does not protect the driver from the occasional fender-bender, likewise the Internet license will not prevent the occasional abuse of the Internet from taking place. In order to provide a means of redress for those affected by a licensed surfer's poor nettiquette, there will need to be a mandatory insurance law. All licensed Internet users will need to take out insurance to cover their liabilities for any abuses they perpetrate online (whether accidental or intentional).

The regulation of the Internet promises to improve the Internet for everyone. By eliminating the irresponsible individuals who spoil the web for the rest of us, we will be able to enjoy an enhanced web surfing experience free from h4x0rs, skR1p7 K1dd135, spammers, misinformation, porn, extreme political lunatics, lame-assed websites and just about every other problem that plagues the Internet today. Your Internet license could become just as important to a future employer as a driver's license or a high school diploma is today! Of course, the Privacy Nazis and Freedom Fascists will trot out that familiar tired old chestnut:- that people who sacrifice their freedoms do not deserve them in the first place, but most of those kind of people are not parents and are unconcerned about protecting our children from the very real dangers of the unregulated Internet.

I hope I have given you surfers some food for thought. If you think I am being a control freak, just try to imagine the state our highways would be in today if anyone regardless of age or ability were entitled to drive an automobile, anyone regardless of age or ability were entitled to carry a gun and anyone regardless of age or ability were entitled to sell liquor to whomesoever they chose.

It's a sobering thought I think you will agree.

The Russian artillery and aviation will be delighted with lit up cities.

Pro tip: don't turn your lights on when there's a war on

Also I'm sure Ukraine is happy to divert vehicles and drivers from the war effort to distribute 35 million LED lights.

This woman is mostly responsible for the sorry state of the German army. I'm sure the Russians will swing by the post office once they break through the lines at Bakhmut to collect their free LED lights.
