https://www.politico.com/news/2021/06/28/north-korea-kim-jong-un-emaciated-looks-496718

Quote
Heartbroken North Koreans have been worrying tearfully about leader Kim Jong Un's “emaciated looks,” state media quoted a local resident as saying, in a rare acknowledgment of foreign speculation about his weight loss.

...

“Our people’s hearts ached most when we saw (Kim’s) emaciated looks,” North Korean state TV cited the unidentified male resident wearing a straw hat as saying on Friday. “Everyone says their tears are welling up in their eyes naturally.”

In recent state media photos, Kim has appeared to have lost a considerable amount of weight. Some North Korea watchers said Kim, who is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and has previously weighed 308 pounds, may have lost 22-44 pounds.

https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/haitian-president-shot-dead-home-overnight-pm-2021-07-07/

Quote
PORT-AU-PRINCE, July 7 (Reuters) - Haitian President Jovenel Moise was shot dead by unidentified attackers in his private residence overnight in a "barbaric act", the government said on Wednesday, stirring fears of escalating turmoil in the impoverished Caribbean nation.

The assassination coincided with a wave of gang violence in Port-au-Prince as armed groups have battled with police and one another for control of the streetsin recent months, turning many districts of the capital into no-go zones.

The 53-year-old president's wife, Martine Moise, was also shot in the attack that took place around 1 a.m. local time (0500 GMT) and was receiving medical treatment, Interim Prime Minister Claude Joseph said in a statement.

"A group of unidentified individuals, some of them speaking Spanish, attacked the private residence of the president of the republic and thus fatally wounded the head of state,” he said.

Joseph said the police and army had the security situation under control though gunfire could be heard throughout the crime-ridden capital of 1 million people after the attack.

To some degree yes but even the countries themselves are alarmed by how things are going.
I forgot about Haiti now asking the US to send troops to help stabilize the situation.

A big mess that one also.

Recently a German politician of some sort said that the Dutch should not complain so much because the EU ended the wars and it cannot only be measured in terms of growth, wealth and success.

Even worse than the financial shit is the new green deal from Frans Timmermans.
I mean, holy shit the man just plans to circumvent every national parliament with his 10 year plan and the MSM is hard at work convincing people that the heavy rains were caused by climate change making it all the more easy to ram it through.

Hell in a Dutch talkshow funded by the tax payer some soyboy and a virologist in the pocket of the Chinese tried to make the case that the pandemic and flood were somehow interlinked.
There's more virologists than diversity activists on TV these days, why you ask? Subsidies, that's why.

Your weekly "these agreements for a winning oven-ready deal we signed are bad, stop being meanies, let's redraw them" episode.

Quote
The UK has unveiled a new set of demands to redraw the post-Brexit trading arrangements it agreed with the EU for Northern Ireland.

The government said border checks on goods from Great Britain it signed up to in the 2019 Brexit divorce deal had proved unsustainable.

Brexit Minister Lord Frost said they risked harming business, and were damaging the "fabric" of the UK.

It's almost like Brexit was inevitably going to cause this no matter what and when they were told since 2015 they went

Their main problem seems to be that the EU has an army of bureaucrats and negotiators specifically trained for this kind of thing.

And all the UK has to deal with this issue is Boris and his wife who everyone at no 10 fears.
Maybe he should send his wife to negotiate?

Their main problem is that Brexit is fundamentally and irremediably incompatible with the GFA.
