Lions shat the bed on the road. I can't blame the defense, they did their best and kept us in the game for quite awhile. The problem was special teams and the offense. I'm sorry, I know our kicker is a rookie but he has to go. You can't miss two FGs in a row, in the NFL. I remember during the offseason when nearly every beat writers was arguing that he shouldn't get the job, it should have gone to his competitor - who we cut right before the season started, and he was quickly signed to Oakland's practice squad. I really think he's done. Maybe not tomorrow or before next weekend's game, but I expect they'll bring a kicker in for competition.
The offense dominated the clock early but couldn't score due to turnovers and missed FGs. Stafford wasn't horrible but clearly got frustrated and began forcing balls to Megatron. Speaking of which, Megatron had a huge "drop" in the endzone. I fucking hate that rule. It's amazing that on a running play a centimeter of the ball has to pass the endzone line and it's A TD, yet a clear catch can be overruled if the ground dislodges the ball after a clear catch. I hate that bullshit, and have ever since I first saw it a few years ago when the same thing happened with Megatron against Chicago. Bullshit rule.
