At one point a year or two ago Goddell was considered to be the best commish in professional US sports, which admittedly wasn't hard with Gary Bettman and David Stern in contention. Now he has lost all his credibility.

I remember when multiple people were arguing the "real video" justified the weak suspension, ie "she deserved it." Now the same insiders are reporting the NFL never saw the video lmao, as Triumph's link shows. The NFL clearly fucked up. The onus should be on the Ravens to issue their own suspension.

Really reminds us that sports "journalism" on the highest levels (ESPN, SI, etc) isn't much different from gaming or music journalism. You can't expect accountability when access is doled out based on how much bullshit you're willing to overlook. Especially with a product as dominant as NFL football. They have their own (growing) station, they can take their ball and go home to a degree. Remember a few years ago when ESPN didn't have rights to game recap/highlight videos on their site because it was an NFL.com exclusive? The point of that was to help grow their online presence, and they've made progress since then. The threat of losing part of the empire ensures ESPN will never be an actual sports journalism outlet.

Same reason why they dick ride the SEC...
