The way we are playing I'd take even Pulis. Has Brucey been that bad for you guys? It's still early days, but having already played 3 out of top 6 the results don't seem too bad thanks to the win against Spurs.

Nah, we're actually playing pretty well since we switched back to 5-4-1. Not sure how much of that is down to Bruce because that's how we were playing under Benitez.

I'm reasonably confident the results will come, just not convinced that Bruce is any more than a typical English journeyman manager.

Moral dilemma time.

According to news reports, the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, which apparently has direct links to Mohammed bin Salman himself, is about to buy Newcastle United. This could potentially make us one of the richest clubs in the world and give us the opportunity to truly compete for silverware.

My dilemma is that the thought of supporting a club owned by one of the most evil regimes/people in the world leaves a really bad taste in my mouth and I don't know if I can do that without compromising my personal moral code. On the other hand, I've supported Newcastle for more than 20 years through thick and thin and would love to see us compete again.

How would you feel in my situation? Is it possible to separate club and owners? Am I overthinking this?

Honestly I sorta lost interest in football and the club after the Qatar takeover. The actual sport part was probably peripheral in that, it had to do with personal and social dynamics mostly but godmode manic transfers left me a bit cold beyond the first year of Ancelotti and Serie A focused recruitment (which seemed thought out and appealed to my sensibilities). But most fans seem to live OK with it and are happy that the team can compete. I mean football economics are obscene as is and unsavoury owners isn't exactly novel. Not to pass over the problematic nature of fossil oligarchs but there seem to an hypocritical, and sometimes racially tinted, reverence for "old money".

Chelsea fans had to contend with their club being owned by someone who gained billions via the corrupt distribution of oil and gas rights.

We are having to deal with an owner who murdered a citizen of his own country in their embassy then chopped his body into small pieces because he wrote some articles that were critical of him.

i'm west ham mate. we sold our soul for a rented multi-sports shithole with all the atmosphere of a chemo ward and are even worse on the pitch than we were at upton park. i never wanted to move full stop, but even i thought we'd at least get a couple of inches on our pecker for the price of our soul.

still, despite the fact david sullivan makes me physically ill to look at and is the sole architect of the death of so much about what i loved about my club, i still wouldn't want to become another piece of saudi london real estate.

I'm not sure what I think tbh. He is offside, and the case can certainly be made for him distracting or obstructing De Gea's view. But on the other hand, it was going in no matter what. Maybe Siggurdson should stop being such an idiot, and just get up instead of staying on the ground for 30 seconds.

But I want United for once to have a VAR decision against them. Only team allowed to kick dicks in and shit, without any VAR.

liverpool are a bit shite now. klopp spent all season banging on about a winter break, since coming back from it they were run close by norwich, bournemouth and us (WHU) beaten by atleti twice, lost to chelsea in the cup and got properly done in by watford.

now the cunt is whining on TV about how atleti played.

Look if you had any IQ's, you could see Erdogan was clearly in the VAR room. What was that penalty? ERDOGAN IS WHAT IT WAS.

Anyway, our manager was fucking fuming both before and after the match. Said Uefa are running away from their responsibility, and they tried to get it postponed, calling their decision to force us to play shocking. But oh well. We played badly, but we have been playing badly for like all of the season. Getting a 1-0 away to the first place in Turkey isnt bad.

Fun fact, this was our 30th match in a row in European football, where we let maximum one goal in against us.

After all the LiVARpool shit this season, it's unlikely that they won't just award them the league anyway.

If we could swap Bournemouth for West Ham in the bottom three, I'd be happy with stopping the season.

God I hope he is as good as he was before the injury. Havent been this excited for a young Copenhagen player in forever. When I had a season ticket, he was close to me, and his dad (the goalkeeper coach at the time of Copenhagen) would always come over after the match, which is why I remember it so clearly. Seeing him having such a huge breakthrough was amazing.

Some absolutely sensational passes and just general overview of the games from him, seems like he is always one step ahead of the rest of this shit team.
