Can't believe City finally made it through.

Happy to see Ajax go to the EL once again, it would be very nice if they didn't fly out of it in the first game as usual. I want to see more of this

top tier bottling m8. you were always going to lose here, but you sealed your own chapter when you called beating a 14 bajillion dollar side a cakewalk. I'm surprised though, I really thought Barca was going to lose! Guess that attacking is all starting to coalesce now huh? We're going to draw them and get fucked :fbm

It looks like he's gonna rock w/ Fellaini unti we lose again. Personally I cant wait to have ADM and Herrera back in so we can get out of this 3-5-2 crap.

Barca has been disappointing in La Liga lately and it looks like Man City have been finding their form. If Aguero's back in proper condition by then, it could be pretty close.

Barca has Messi, Neymar AND Suarez.

Think about it.

It's not like City is a quality squad like Ajax that beat Barca before.

Yeah, I mean they tied with Getafe on the weekend iirc, have some losses that could have been avoided. Those defensive holes are still there (don't see how else they can fix this one without offloading some loved personnel like Busquets), but they're starting to integrate pretty well in the last third. Like.... Neymar and Messi link up really really well.

Suarez looks a little left out at times but I'm sure his individual quality will show itself.

E: Neymar is a great player but I wouldn't call him a man amongst boys. He's probably la liga's biggest baby, always trying to get that penalty call :heh
Defense is definitely the problem. Pique has been trash this season. The amazing days of Xavi and Iniesta dominating the distributive game are also long gone. They have a stellar offense, with the rest of the squad not matching up to it.

They're also in a unique spot since they have the best player in the world. Messi on a great day can single handedly win a game for them.

Not too happy with the german matchups, nobody save there except for Bayern. Can't wait too see Schalke obliterated again.

Hmm, I hate them because there was a period of time where they bought a lot of our players. Not sure why there is a lot of online hate for them. Maybe it's because they're the archrivals of Dortmund and since Dortmund has gained a shitload of bandwaggoners/Erfolgsfans in the last couple of years, so those probably hate on Schalke online too. Schalke has some of the most dedicated fans in the Bundesliga as well though, they're a love em or hate em kind of club.

- As Roma got it easy peasy with Feyenoord.

- Schalke is very much liked in the Netherlands, due to Youri Mulder playing there for a decade almost and now Huntelaar.

- Neuer will get a red card one of these days, its clear dude is bored.

Speaking of Reus, I don't think he ends up at Bayern.

Why? Team has a glut of people at those positions. They just don't need a marquee player there atm.

People are saying Chelsea and City, but I have a suspicion that he'll be couped by Manchester United. They could use another high class player like him on the wings and they have the money.

I guess he could always end up at Madrid, just cause they can :yeshrug

Cut the check Woodward!

spoiler (click to show/hide)
I fully expect him to go to Madrid.

Disagree about Reus and Bayern. He is a versatile attacking midfielder but his primary position is left winger. Bayern has Ribery there, but Ribery is getting old for a winger (he had a great 2013, but his performance in 2014 was a pretty steep decline). If Reus joins Bayern, he can share the job as a left winger with Ribery in his first season while learning to play the Guardiola way and then take over the season after that. So while Bayern already has a lot of talent in the offensive midfield, Reus would perfectly fit their future needs.

Trophy wise, his chances to win the CL are probably the best in Munich and Madrid. ManU might fully come back next season but you don't know for sure now. I also believe Reus would prefer to win the german championship and cup over other leagues. Reus has't won any national titles so far and I think any player from the big leagues would prefer to win the titles from his home country over the other league's titles.

Real wouldn't really make sense as Ronaldo is too good and too valuable from a marketing pov, so Reus couldn't play on his best position. Real is hard to resist for any player though, so if they really want him only to keep their caroussel of crazy signings spinning, they might make him a good offer.

I agree about ManU, I think they're the most likely team in the PL to get him. Van Gaal is a great coach and I think he likes german players. At least he did a great job developing german players when he was at Bayern, he's imo partly responsible for the success of Bayern in the last couple of years. Chelsea has Hazard and City seems really unlikely too me.

Still Bayern >>>>>>> Real Madrid > ManU

There have been lots of rumours around Shaqiri. Beckenbauer said he can go if he wants to, biggest german tabloid reported today that he can leave for 12 Million this winter and allegedly Guardiola thinks Shaqiri doesn't have enough game/tactical intelligence.
